Where are they now? Mark Fotheringham

Over in the Bundesliga, Hertha Berlin are struggling despite a lot of investment. They've sacked another manager and appointed Felix Magath, a retired manager with a fearsome reputation in the game for making players run long distances in training. Magath has also brought in his own assistant manager, none other than ex-Notts midfielder Mark Fotheringham!

And that's not all - with Magath suffering from covid symptoms, it was Fotheringham who took charge of the team for yesterday's home game against TSG Hoffenheim, overseeing a 3-0 win. He topped off a good day's work by taking his post-match interviews in German (not always a given with British managers and players in Germany, sadly) and berating a reporter for asking idiotic questions about Braveheart. I was expecting him to pop up in Germany again (he was sacked as Ingolstadt assistant manager earlier this season), but not in the Bundesliga at a club like Hertha. Pretty random.

Pleased he is doing well...... Not....... I'll never forgive him making a slide rule back pass to a Coventry striker..... It was in a game when Coventry were using Northampton ground..... Obviously the Coventry striker tucked it away.... I was fuming....
