Match discussion: Notts v Boreham Wood

We seem to be lacking a match thread for this (blame all the rearranged fixtures), so I've made one.

Really disappointed with last night's result. We had lots of possession, but it was all too slow, ponderous and predictable. We also had some really dodgy moments passing it around the back (Baldwin played himself into trouble more than once), so the visitors' lead was no surprise. We looked a different side after the break, but quickly reverted to type after equalising. We didn't do enough to win against a hard-working but average team.

Looks like we've firmly handed the initiative back to Wrexham, if not (yet) top spot.

Pedestrian football at it's worst, no penetration or intent, to much sideways & backwards passing. Bostock & Palmer don't work. To many players  had an off night, hope fatigue isn't starting to creep in but then again they don't exert themselves with continuing with walking football

every so often there will be a game like this where notts just did not click, sometimes we can be lucky enough to see the games through and take more than what we might deserve. i dont think the performance was terrible, i just feel we did not match boreham woods desire.

i will take a draw over a defeat any day.

I can't comment on the performance, but I would echo that for all the good performances Notts have, some will be poorer. Fingers crossed we can keep ahead of Wrexham who have games in hand.
