In the early 90s, Oldham had a highly skilled team that was rapidly broken up due to the sale of their key players. It’s a pity because they had a thrilling style of play at that time.

Yes, if I recall, they finished 2nd one year in the early 90s. I think they had Paul Dickov on loan too.

I used to have a soft spot for Oldham, back when I collected sticker books and read everything those pages had to hold.

Yes, I recall this outcome. Oldham had their moments of brilliance. The late 80s and 90s were somewhat of a high point for the club. It’s been a downhill journey since then, but their supporters have memories like this thrashing of one of the poorest West Ham teams in years.
