January 23, 20241 yr #2 is nottingham rockets the twentytwenty team? i prefer the shorter overs. not the biggest cricket fan tho.
January 23, 20241 yr Author #3 @liampie In the 100 ball game called "the hundred" the "Trent Rockets" (mens and womens), are the home team that plays at Trent bridge. In this format,, each side get 100 balls per innings rather than the 20/20 format that has 20 overs per innings (120 balls) where Nottingham Outlaws are the home team.
January 23, 20241 yr #4 @liampie I pay little attention to cricket, so all this tends to fly over my head. @super_ram likes his cricket, as does my brother @william1984. Good luck to them. PS. I love the chrisps Skips, but this isn't very nice. ????
January 24, 20241 yr Author #5 England have named their team to face India in the first test in Hyderabad, India, starting tomorrow morning.
January 24, 20241 yr Author #6 Ben Duckett, Nottinghamshire opening Batsman for County and England, previews the England v India test series starting in India tomorrow morning.
January 25, 20241 yr Author #8 A bad day for England at the office, India end on 119 for 1 in reply to England's 246 all out.
January 26, 20241 yr Author #9 India are well in command of the 2st test after the conclusion of the 2nd day. India end the day on 421/7 in their first innings in reply to England's 246 all out. England will have to bat much better if they are to have any chance of saving this test.
January 26, 20241 yr #10 England are currently nowhere near good enough to compete with India, especially in India. Batting is too erratic and the bowling too much of a muchness. You need to be either a really good spinner or express quick and our bowlers (except sicknote Wood) are neither of those.
January 27, 20241 yr Author #12 India v England day three. England are on 299/6 with Pope 142 not out.
January 27, 20241 yr Author #14 End of the third day if the 1st test match, India v England with England on 316 for 6, a lead of 126. Nottinghamshire's Ben Duckett scored 47 with Ollie Pope 148 not out. It should be a fascinating morning's cricket tomorrow with England desperate to stretch that lead so they have something to bowl at.
January 28, 20241 yr Author #16 ENGLAND HAVE WON THE FIRST TEST IN INDIA. WHAT A REMARKABLE WIN. Tom Hartley taking 7 wickets for England in India's 2nd innings. England win by 28 runs.
January 28, 20241 yr #17 I hadn't even bothered checking the scores the last few days.Never say never eh,great recovery by England
January 28, 20241 yr Author #18 @super_ramIt's great to wake up to some great news. Ollie Pope scored one of the great innings, 196 on a turning wicket, but I still thought that the lead wasn't quite enough, but Tom Hartley's seven wickets proved me wrong. The team spirit in this England team under Ben Stokes is what gives England an extra edge in close matches. Incidentally, West Indies have beaten Australia in Australia today too. A remarkable day in Test Cricket.
January 28, 20241 yr #19 Just goes to show that despite the fact I played senior cricket to a decent level for over 25 years, I know nowt!!! ???? Great win to be fair, thanks to two men. Still think we would have lost if Kohli had played though.
February 2, 20241 yr Author #21 After the first day of the 2nd Test against England, India finish on 336 for 6.
February 3, 20241 yr Author #22 After the second day, of the 2nd Test match England have it all to do against India
February 4, 20241 yr Author #23 England end the third day of the 2nd Test against India on 67 for 1 and need a further 332 runs to win with 9 wickets in hand An enthralling day awaits tomorrow.
February 5, 20241 yr Author #24 India win the 2nd Test. England are bowled out on day 4 for 292. India win by 106 runs, leveling the series 1:1.
