i do think for once it is the ideal appointment because of how he did at wealdstone and how he had them setup. we looked a fair bit better in defence against barrow, not perfect for the time hes been here we could have easily lost that game. i think the signs are promising, giving players a fresh start and lifting their confidence may be the base of his starting point here. stuart maynard really is a perfect fit and i am glad we managed to get him.

those notts fans still upset over luke williams leaving, its harder on wealdstone.

Yes, I think the signs are very encouraging. I will be forever grateful to Luke for getting Notts out of the national league. He will forever be a hero for doing it, however, Luke never got to grips with the fact that we were leaking goals from the start of the season, 26 matches in and there was no sign of change.

Now Stuart has come in and it appears he is trying to address the leaking goals issue, and that can only be good for Notts chances of making the playoffs.

@TheSkipper has written a fantastic piece on Stuart Maynard which I will be publishing later. It's good to see the Football League paper doing a piece on Notts. I really enjoyed the National League paper, so I must try to support this.

There’s a nice piece about Notts in the Football League paper. It’s clear that the board sees Stuart Maynard as a great fit, which is reflected in this article. It’s a good read nonetheless.
