Notts had 7000  fans travelling to Liverpool for that match.

Notts were in the third Division and Liverpool were in the First Division. Notts players included Tommy Lawton and Jackie Sewell.

Fancy travelling to Liverpool, then getting locked out. At least nowadays that should not happen, that's a modern positive out of a host of modern football negatives.

Our history is fascinating. I read about this in the late 90s. My grandad bought me a book from ASDA about the history of Notts. This was one of the snippets which I remember reading.

Yes, a splendid bit of history kept alive. I’m grateful for such tweets, they’re good to read. I enjoy this part of Twitter, supporters chatting about Notts and reminiscing.
