TEAM NEWS

Shrewsbury winger Jon Taylor is set to miss out after being forced off with a hamstring injury against Bury.

Luke Rodgers has been struggling with illness but should be fine to face his former club, while Luke Summerfield (hernia) is definitely out.

Damion Stewart is unavailable for Notts County as he is suspended.

Fellow centre-back Dean Leacock is closing in on a return from a hamstring injury but has been struggling with illness, along with Lee Hughes.

Dean Leacock will be a miss for us, which I notice BBC mention Bart isn't unable to start. If he's included I see no missing links, although it should be an easier game for Mitchell if he is selected to play. I hear we're taking a pretty reasonable following considering it's a Wednesday and of course boxing day but I've missed football especially since the last game was called off. I hope we can take make the most of the chances we get + see a much better performance, I don't see any reason why we can play our game.

No score prediction from me.

Both our respective sides need to win, I feel we will to be honest Joe. We have been fairly consistent recenly, our previous draws could of gone either way but I feel the squad are capable of what some of your fans would consider to be an upset. Luke Rodgers is rumoured to be okay now, so that would diffidently been a bonus for us as a capable striker of snatching goals. (you guys should know)

2-1 a Salop win

If Luke plays he does pose a threat, as do some of your other players. (Risky for us) Consider his style of play, he likes to sit very closely to defenders shoulders and that's the reason behind him being offside.

With how our defense has been, we could be prone to allowing him get the better.

However, we'll have to see if he makes the team. He may still be ignored and although most of the players he played along side here have moved on, Neal Bishop will know enough of what he's like and would of probably mentioned this to the lads. I don't see it being a very high scoring game to be honest, probably very narrow and the odd goal.

I can't wait, I wished I was there!

Same here!

friendlyshrew mentioned coming on towards the kick off, so that will be a plus. I'm not sure if he is attending the match, I had to pull out due to work. Rather be at the game to be honest. Are you expecting any of the new members to come on at during the game?

Difficult to to say how this one will go.Shrews at home and Notts struggling big time.Notts fortunes must change at some time so feel a little apprehensive for Shrews. Will sit on the fence for this one.0-0

Lee hughes starting so easy win for notts

I'm glad to hear this! I had seen tweets a few seconds prior to this.

It's stepping up to be a very good occasion, I so hope Lee Hughes gets us in front or possible a hat-trick. I don't want to jinx anything but it would prove he's still a good squad member, especially those who divide themselves between. COYP!

Surprise, Surprise!!

It's a strange call from your manager, with Lee having that supposed Sick note. Rodgers will be glad to meet up his two previous team mates, I still believe we can firmly take away your record. The shrews will have to be up for this :D

I thought Lee Hughes had a sick note so i'm surprised hes playing. I am not sure how this match will go but i hope both our teams play well so its a fair match.

it will be good to see lee hughes playing again, even though he surposedly had a sick note. i'm hoping for a win but anything better than losing will be good.

Very bright start for us!

Sounds like it will be a very high tempo game, I hope we can maintain this too. COYP!!

Yes, I would not mind drawing.

Very nervous here, high temp start. I don't think we expected you to come at us like you have, sounds like we are holding our own.

Rodgers!!!

Always happens, sorry Joe. :D :D :D

We need to keep focused now, It's hard to tell what exactly is happening now. You've come away with the game in the last x amount, seems your goal as sparked you to put more play together.

Come on Notts!!

Oh no, Joe... Keep quiet mate ;)

Been a mixed game upto now, Hoping for more goals myself.

Will wait to see the highlights but sounded like their may of been a foul.

Very bright start! It's a shame you've taken the lead.

Will take that! 2 - 2. Come on Shrewsbury!!

Thanks Will, Gutted by the fluke goal (from the sounds of it).

I can't be too disappointed, we played some good stuff and it sounded very lively. I'll settle for a drew, especially against a side who kept at it themselves.

Was a good result for the both of us, a fair reflection on the game.

Disappointing to not get the 3 points we really need at the moment. I have watched the extended highlights and looks like we played really well and we're held to a point by a Campbelll-Ryce style "fluke cross". However it was good to see Lee Hughes back and scoring, he certainly needs to play more for Notts.
