It's been a good day for Notts batting first.

Notts finish the day on 393/6 with a century by Ben Slater & half centuries from Hameed & HaynesΒ

Every bonus point Notts can make is absolutely vital at this stage of the seasonΒ

Notts are close to getting 4 batting points when they teach 400 & one more if they reach 450 within 110 overs.

@gtownjohnno Ahmed looks a great prospect. Trouble is, if he gets into the England side with a central contract, Notts would lose him for most of the time like they didΒ  Graham Swann.

Central contracts should go, so Duckett & Stone can play for Notts regularly.

End of the days play and Kent are 85/0 in the 2nd innings following on still 123 runs behind Notts .

Notts probably should have batted and extended the lead.

It's been a very good morning forΒ  the Notts bowlers in the opening session of the day.

Update.

Notts have WON the match by 10 wickets by scoring the 23 runs the required without loss.

The Notts win relegated Kent, but Notts have to wait for the Lancashire match, which is still playing, to find out if they will have to go to the last match, to ensure survival in Division 1
