Being nearer to home will hopefully benefit him, though I do wonder how he’s adjusting to a new squad and the challenge of making new friends in this environment. Depression is tough, so my thoughts are with him, and I truly value what he accomplished during his time at Notts.

i am glad that notts gave him time and i think its good that he has managed to move closer to home, i wished he was still here because i thought he was a good player and someone who could get goals if played as a striker. i hope hes happier in carlisle.

I read it when it was first published, and I am pleased by how open Cedwyn Scott is when talking about it. Dealing with depression is hard; if you spend more time locking it up, finding a way to let it out can be hard. Sometimes it can be dismissed as "attention-seeking" when it's just the person trying to find release. This is why I feel it's important for Scott to speak so forthrightly. I am also pleased Notts did everything they could to support him, because it's one of the better parts of the club's handling of the players, and it shows just how important mental health is.

I'm still disappointed he left, but that's more because I rated and liked him as a player. I do wish him all the best with Carlisle and understand that he's closer to a support network up there.

He always played with the passion that we wanted from the team, so I hope it works out for him.
