Notts Injury Watch 2025/26

Featured Replies

I think the Bromley game showed us how much we will miss Platt in defence. He is what we have missed for so long, a no nonsense defender who guards the goal, clears the ball, joins up with the midfield, and critically inspires confidence in his colleagues.

I'd go far as to say that Bromley's first goal was the sort of clearance he'd have dealt with, giving is all three points.

I think McDonald is a decent defender, as is Bedeau. Alijofree shows potential, but i want to see more.

It all shows how vulnerable we are.

Whilst, we are talking about injuries, Refs need to be protecting Jodi better. he's being targeted, by players who are having a free reign. I fear an injury will take him out again, unless he is given more protection.

During Martin's interview after the Walsall match he reported that Scott Robertson picked up an injury in training & that was the reason for his absence.

It could be a knee injury. He's having tests and scans to ascertain the extent of the injury. Will Hinchy be recalled again from his new loan spell to give cover? We'll have to see.

No news on when Jatta is likely to return. Martin didn't want to discuss it. Palmer failed a fitness test before the Walsall match.

Robbo's doesn't sound good. Sods law that it happens a day after Hinchy's loan. If it's a few weeks or longer, it makes us vulnerable.

I like Norburn + Iorpenda.

Norburn + Palmer gives solidity and ball possession but has less mobility - the wide defenders would have to get forward more, knowing the cover is behind. In any case, I think Palmer should come back in a game like Newport at home. The fire and brimstone of the local derby next Saturday might not suit a player who's been out for a couple of months.
