Another typical Martin Paterson team performance to get the hard earned win against Grimsby.

Another good performance in goal by Kelle Roos, & a goal apiece for Dennis & Jatta. A clean sheet to show for their efforts too.

So who's your PON Man of the Match today. I have chosen the starting eleven for you to make your choice.

Those players are,

Roos, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Norburn, Iorpenda, Bennetts, Grant Dennis Jatta.

For me, it's a tough choice between Dennis and Bedeau.

Bedeau was immense today and it was his usual speciality that caught the eye - what an awesome one-on-one defender he is.

I voted Dennis though. That's two away wins on the bounce he's won for us now. I thought he ran Roos close for MoM at Bristol Rovers. But I'll vote for him this time. His all round game as an AM was solid, but the goal was spectacular. Freeze the film at when he received it - he had so much to do, scoring would have been a 1% chance. And we wouldn't have got the second if Grimsby hadn't risked all and left just 1 at the back. Matty Dennis has bagged us so many points this season with his goals.

Another gritty performance by the boys. I think slowly but surely Martin is building a team that is resilient to the 90 plus minutes games both home and away.

I agree with @theAnticlough Bedau was solid in defence and Matty Dennis played very well, putting in a great performance with another exquisite finish for us. Bring on Walsall. COYP.

I find it really difficult to choose a man of the match when I haven’t actually seen the match, however based on the radio commentary and comments from fans who actually attended I’d say it’s between Roos, Platt and Dennis, Eenie meenie minee mo, I’ll go for ……….. Platt.

Agreed, heard it and got 3rd party updates from folks at the game. Sounded close between Dennis and Roos to me - difficult to choose without seeing the game in this instance.

Roos keeps us in it and Dennis breaks the deadlock. As I’m unable to split them, it’s a “tie” for me, so not able to cast a vote.

Recently I have found it difficult to choose a man of the match. I think it’s because we playing as a team not as individuals. So everyone is contributing something of value to the cause. I agree Dennis is a class act and should be a regular starter, but for the Grimsby game we spent more time defending than attacking so I’m going for Platt.

I watched the full match replay this morning. The Notts backline of Macari, Platt & Bedeau were superb. Roos didn't put a foot wrong again.

Grant did a lot of good work around the pitch, it's not spectacular but it is effective. Jatta & Dennis took their chances well, Bennetts did well in the first half but faded in the 2nd. Tsaroulla was hard working up & down the flanks.

This was another typical Martin Paterson team performance full of resilience. They dig in, they scrap & work so hard as a team, & when they need it, they have the quality upfront to score the goals.

Iorpenda & Norburn did well in midfield. Martin could have a selection headache when Robbo & Matt are fit to play.

It's very hard to pick a Man of the Match for Notts, because everyone played so well, but I'm going for Matty Platt because I think he's back to his best once again. He won his aerial battles & got in the some vital blocks & interceptions.

Kelle Roos made some very important saves at key moments when the match could have gone a different way. A few of them were not the usual type of stop you see, but the double save on its own should be enough to put him in the conversation.

I watched on laptop and thought this was a complete team performance. The build up to the first goal and execution was superb. The multisave by Roos was extraordinary and unusual,The second goal was unfortunate for the Grimsby player but Jatta made it look easy. This all makes for a very difficult decision.I've gone for Roos.

I'm pleased to announce that Matty Platt has been voted the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match against Grimsby. It was well deserved after an outstanding performance.
