Notts County kit

Hey there! I'm a new member from Italy. I support Juventus, and as many of Juve fans I'm grateful to Notts County for giving us our wonderful colours! :-)

Just about our colours, I would like to ask you something about a Notts County football shirt:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BNWT-NOTTS-COUNTY-FC-XL-FOOTBALL-SHIRT-SOCCER-JERSEY-TOP-NOTTINGHAM-ENGLAND-/281319718687

I want to buy it, but I can't understand neither if it is a training or playing kit, nor the corresponding season of employment.

Could someone help me?

Thank you very much!

Andrea

Hi @andrea88

This is a shirt that was designed for the 2009-10 season, however new owners took over the club and replaced the kit with a Nike kit.

This meant the shirt above was never actually used in any league games, but it was also not a training kit.

The following website is good for seeing past Notts County kits, and you can see what the shirt that replaced the one you linked:

Actually quite a good kit. I bought one a while back. Lots of fans stop me and ask where it came from as they don't recognise it.

As Cobby correctly says, it was ready for the season, but then Munto came in, cancelled the shirts and went with Nike. makes it a rarer type shirt, but there are lots of surplus on the net as they were never used!

Beats the barcode anyway! (Even if I did revert to my barcode on Saturday at Oldham.)

I recall when some random bloke was selling these shirts for £10. :P

Once even seen a market on Fantasy Island with 'em, though they was priced at £45 and I always joked about nobody paying it. Just because you put "Rare" on it, doesn't mean random football fans will buy.

If you purchase one, wear with pride. You Pies!
