An 80-acre site, highlighted in red, is to be transformed into a £100m-plus training facility which will include 16 training pitches and a 7,000-seater ground for youth and reserve team games, all just a stone's throw away from the Etihad Stadium.

How many UK players will benefit? It looks good but a waste of land.

Manchester City will also donate land in the corner of the site for a sixth form college to be built, and have donated £3 million for local leisure facilities, which is being earmarked for a swimming pool

I think @Dan shared a news piece on his FB page about this.

It looks good and at least they are developing, some clubs purchase land and leave it as wasteland for future 'ideas' and then it just looks horrible. I think the same thing when I walked past the BBC studios, all that land wasted and the old factory which has been half torn down. Yet it's good see them donating money to build a six form college, near to this it would encourage students in my opinion.

Whereas I doubt many English stars will come through Manchester City's ranks, it will be good for general football.

The night plans look very cool.

Those plans look great, nice to see a english club focusing on their own youngsters by building the best that they can.
