Magpie Player on your mobile

Here's a good tip I saw on the other forum that deserves an airing here.

If you want to use Magpie Player on your mobile or tablet, download the Fli Player app from the Google Play Store. You can watch all the highlights and interviews even on devices that don't like Flash, and the commentary also works on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S3). I could never get this to work previously.

It works on iPhone as well and is a lot more reliable than the old FL Football app.

Football League app works perfectly for me but my old device had trouble.

Pretty much requires a browser that fully supports flash, majority of mobile browsers only use repositories within your device and this is why they have issues with it starting then failing or it doesn't load at all. Good old adobe stopped supporting/creating updates for their mobile flash app. Yet I hear IPhones have this in built as standard, so should devices on Android above 4.0 - 4.0.4 :)

Useful tip for folks to know DS, thanks for sharing.

A field where dreams become reality.

I use puffin browser for Magpie player on my galaxy s4 and my kindle hdx. Works fine on both although when I'm out and about the signal is always in and out so to speak for uncle Colin. Don't normally get the chance to stand in one spot listening if I'm not there in person.

i might subscribe to it within the new year, i have not really thought about it before.

To be honest, I only really use it for the commentary and match highlights, and if you live in the UK that's all free to air anyway. I suppose it depends how interested you are in the interviews and extras. It's a good service for exiles like me though, and the frequent bugs are a thing of the past now.
