Heysel Stadium Disaster. A Day that Shook the World.

On, 29 May 1985, before the European Cup final between Juventus and Liverpool 39 Juve fans died and many more were injured as a result of an attack by Liverpool hooligans.

This year will be the 30th anniversary of this largely forgotten horror.

I for one would like to do something to mark the occasion, and show the world that we do remember and that English football has moved on from that darkest of days.

It may seem a long way off, but it will take time to arrange a fitting tribute, so let me have your thoughts.

Should we do something

If so do it as Notts or invite all league clubs

what can we do

Considering our connection to Juventus and our dear friends @Italian Magpies, it would be nice for us and other football teams to pay their respects somehow.

I'm not really sure what to suggest, would a clapping mexican wave throughout each minute of every league game (including the Prem) work? My ideas always seem quite ambitious but I think making noise, such as clapping for a minute would show 'unity'.

I'll leave the suggestions to others. :)

39 lost their lives, so something in the 39th Minute? A minute of applause?

What would @Italian Magpies think a good idea?

a minutes applause in the 39th minute of the last home game of the season sounds good to me.
