Read Madrid limped into the last 8 last night. They lead 2-0 after the first leg away to Schalke. Schalke looked dead and buried but played fantastic in the second leg. They won 4-3 on the night, another goal and they would have gone through on away goals.

 

Porto cruised into the last 8 after a 5-1 agg. win over Basel. They won 4-0 at home last night. Porto are a decent side and shouldn't be underestimated. They may play in a weak league but they are more than capable of mixing it with the elite in the CL.

I heard the Real Madrid game was a good one, I didn't see it but I hope to catch the actual live game tonight. I might have a look for the Madrid highlights, as @cotton13 was telling me about it.

i dont enjoy watching the champions league games anymore, the pundits bore me and the football is quite slow in my opinion. there are not many teams evenly matched and that really puts me off.

Only usually watch if United are playing but did catch the Schalke/Madrid game last night and it was entertaining, great to see the mighty Real on the back foot. Though I do admire Ronaldo and Madrid when they click their football is on a different level.

There did seem to be underlying problems at Madrid last night, that said they really can turn it on when they want and like @Captain Sticky said when they do they were on a completely different level. Marcelo & Modric do seem to make a massive difference to how they play, Isco, Khedira & Arbeloa are nowhere near good enough to be in that team, if Madrid sort that out (admittedly they have with Khedira giving way to Modric) they will be pretty much unstoppable

Chelsea 2-2 PSG. 3-3 on agg. Chelsea out on away goals. Fascinating game but the actions of the players was disgusting. Ibrahimovic sent off after 30 minutes, yet Chelsea seemed more interested in fighting than scoring. Costa was a disgrace.

Bayern 7-0 Shaktar. 7-0 on agg. Shaktar down to 10 men after 3 mins. Game over. It's hard to beat Bayern with 11, never mind 10.
