Discussing Moniz

Let's talk Ricardo Moniz.

Anyone else encouraged by the style of play Moniz is trying to introduce? At pitch side he never stops giving instructions and has a fan said 'That piece of white paper is magical'.

I'm very optimistic personally! He seems to be grasping English football quite well and his stamp mark was quite clear against Doncaster! I think if we can build the right squad next season, we will be competive and perhaps play the football required to beat teams like MK Dons, perhaps not on a weekly basis but once in awhile (rather than not at all).

What about you? Thoughts? Share your opinion below folks.

Ohhh Yes. I remind you all that when we first went in for him and he backed out I was gutted as I know this bloke will do the business and in an attractive attacking way in which we've not seen for years. It might take Ray dipping his hands in his large pockets, but he has done that for Curle, CK and Derry so why not give Moniz the Moniz?

Saturday showed glimpses of what pace and pressing up the field can do. Don't get me wrong I hope we stay up, but I doubt it. The chance is a slim one, but we need to grab it.

Next season will be more entertaining and surely that's what it is about?

Nobody can be winning every game at our level so you take the rough with the smooth, but is sure easier when the football is enjoyable!

It is how Eddy Howe has Bournemouth playing ... high tempo, pressing high up the pitch, fast attacking... these are all the things I saw on Saturday... you do not have to be a huge club to have your success...

Of course there will be those that argue Bournemouth have been bankrolled and spent a bucket load... f you analyse it, they haven't at all, compared to their rivals... they are seriously outperforming other sides and he is outperforming managers with much beigger budgets and clubs.

I think we will be fine under Moniz, I hope he has the time to change the philosophy around the club, a change like this may not bare fruit for 2 seasons... I think it will be more instant, but we have to be prepared for it not to be.

I can see some big changes this summer in playing and current coaching staff, so the first half of next season could see us behind the game, the new boys will need a while to gel together, I agree that there are some exciting times ahead on the pitch, whilst we may not win every game, you can take losing if they were like we witnessed on Saturday at the lane.

I have to be openly honest, when the news broke that he wasn't taking the job I wasn't bothered. Now, I've seen what he's about and the things he's trying to introduce I am glad he came back.

I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with the squad.

Moniz for me seems to show signs of being a top tier manager, perhaps not within the premier division but at least the championship. if we can find the right players, I hope he can take us.
