I think its a shame amevor wasnt given a proper chance, he didn't play much and when he did he wasnt amazing but that's surely down to confidence and lack of playing time, ive heard he is joining Ricardo as I said above but Leigh Curtis says JS sees Stanley as an integral part of his plans!

I'm surprised, I think Amevor was worth keeping and he was showing signs of settling down towards the end of the season.

Could it be that he wasn't guaranteed first team football?

That would make sense, along possible cost saving measures as I imagine he was on a fair bit for someone who may not regularly feature for us. Still, I am surprised because his pace and height was very useful.

EINDHOVEN - Ricardo Moniz (51) is from July 1 the new coach of FC Eindhoven. Two days after leaked out that Mitchell van der Gaag is leaving the club after one season, FC Eindhoven has reached agreement with the former footballer of Eindhoven (1981-1984). Moniz signed for two seasons with the Aalsterweg.

FC Eindhoven in February was informed by Van der Gaag he did not serve out his continuing commitment. The club's quest led in recent months to Moniz.

Playoffs
Friday FC Eindhoven made the news to the world. The club did not want to wait with the announcement until after the playoffs because they took too great a risk that the news would leak next week. "That would be at the expense of preparing for the play-off match against NAC Friday," said general manager Kees Spoonbills. "From Saturday our sights heaped focused on the playoffs."

The incorporation of Moniz is the first feat of technical manager Harm van Veldhoven which began in mid-February at the Jan Louwers Stadium. Veldhoven Moniz sees "a huge win for FC Eindhoven to jointly further develop the sporting ambitions.

Experienced trainer
With Moniz (the early eighties 71 games played for Eindhoven) the club has reached an experienced trainer in your home. His long career as a coach carried over include Feyenoord (assistant), PSV, youth Tottenham Hotspur and HSV (technology trainer and interim head coach) to Redbull Salzburg (recovery coach and head coach). Here he was champion in 2012 and he also took the cup.

In recent years the Dutchman was born with four foreign clubs in three years less successful. Moniz was sacked last December in English Notts County. Since then, he was jobless.

Just in time for Ricardo to sign perhaps......

Guess he could be joining Moniz? If Moniz had sounded him out, and JS told him he can't guarantee him first team footy, it makes sense for both parties.

but why not try and command a fee for once? that would make more sense dont you think?

@liampie The trade off is the wages to be paid by Notts versus alternative use of such wages. If we demanded a transfer fee, the other club may walk away. The only real asset is Stanley...I think EUR 150,000 would be a fair transfer fee given his quality and respecting a year left on his contract
