Notts County clear the decks some more. Murray and Valencic have been released.

They wasn't in the retained list right? It was discussed awhile back I think, so I'm unsure why it's newsworthy now. I know media like to rehash stories but it's not new (unless I dreamt it).

Can't say i'm surprised. Murray is a good honest pro but he's had his time at Notts. I think we can do better.

As for Valencic, I didn't see enough of him to form a clear opinion but he seemed to me to be a bit too laid back for the physical / all action style of League 2 football

This is old news. Isn't Murray at Forest Green now?

They both need to get matches under their belt at this stage of their careers and a consistent place in the team. I think Murray suffered a bit from the "he's fast, let's stick him on the wing" syndrome many managers get.

It's alleged they were still training and being assessed by John Sheridan. I really don't know, it surprised me that he was being mentioned but hey.

i have already moved on, less bothered about valencic i thought he never showed anything worthy of a starting position. murray was good and tried, i think his injury lost him his place but he will probably be better off away from here.
