JJK vs Notts County.

There's been quite a few positives comments, especially surrounding two trialists. If we win tomorrow, our tour of Finland would be an hat-trick and a very successful tour. The weather, bonding and confidence gained cannot be knocked! Just picture your work place having a staff trip, even if it was only to the end of the road you'd most likely be happy to get out of your normal surroundings! Obviously, I realize Finland is quite some distance. ;)

I've enjoyed reading up on it!

Can't wait to the real tests though! Very excited about them.

We won this one 2-0 with goals from Zoko (pen) and Showumni, this is very encouraging as this was by far our toughest test yet.

We have ended our Finland tour unbeaten which is brilliant and should be a great moral booster ahead of the new season.

COME ON YOU PIES.

Notts win the game 2-0, the goals coming from Zoko via the the penalty spot and Enoch Showumni. That means Notts won all 3 games on the tour, scoring 9 goals and conceeding 2. All looking very positive. Yes its nice to get that winning habbit but more importantly the team looks like its gelling, everyones been getting crucial game time, and the players and staff all seem fairly happy with where we are.

Nect up, Galatasary!

I had forgotten about this!

I'm chuffed to see Enoch scored, I hope he gets some confidence from it and hopefully his touch might improve. He does have the ability, I might joke about him but I do like him. (just a little woeful) If he comes good, some will have to eat humble pie ;)

Good result for us!

I'd love to see Enoch score some goals next season, he could become a fans favourite he so reminds me of Devon White he used to put the fear of god into defenders.

Arquin and Zoko too could come good and if Tyrell waite is ready to step up, we might end up not needing a striker.

Hang on I'm getting a bit carried away now

I don't want us to do a Forest and sign too many strikers, I think one of a high standard would be good. A winger who can score, whilst being a backup option would be nice.

Some have been saying we need two to me, though I don't think we could attract two 15+ scorers.

Just hope we can encourage the players whom are in our squad, get them going and let them know that we county fans truly care. If we sing, we might push them on and I think Waite could very well be a great player for us!

Showumni strikes me as someone who you'll never get less than 100% from, but last season it seemed obvious that he was desperatly short of confidence in front of goal. This year though he will get a good pre-season under his belt wheras last year, he was injured early in pre-season then injured at the start of the season. He could be a bit like Delroy Facey if he bagged a few goals. He looked terrifying when he was charging at defenders! Remember that goal he got at home to Lincoln when we effectively secured promotion? If the keeper had got a hand to that the power of the shot would have taken his hand off!

Arquin undoubtably has the ability, its just a case of getting that consistancy, and maybe a bit more confident. I lot of fans fell out with him last season as in the second half of the season he looked pretty disinterested at times. I think he could be someone who becomes a decent impact player off the bench for us.

Zoko also has the ability, he started last season really well but for one reason or another he fell apart. However at home to Bury he showed signs of promise. Maybe if we play him as a striker rather than on the wing as KC did at times he'll bear fruit.

Then ofcourse there's the two youngsters Tyrell Waite and Romello Nangle. Both impressed towards the end of last season and Nangle in particular seems to be doing well in pre-season. Hopefully they'll step up to the mark and prove themselves this season. They're young, local lads with a point to prove!

See we have got strikers, its just a case of getting them firing on all cylinders. Mick Jones has said we've been in talks with strikers but will we bring one in? We all hope so, but given that we have 5 strikers on the books already, can we afford another I ask myself?

Ironic this is, typical Notts too.

It's been a good tour, the fact the players bonded and had a great time. It's priceless, the results are just a bonus and I hope they look ahead to these upcoming games. If they have a go, we cannot fault them!
