I know many people often say things like this, usually on a whim just to add their say but I felt he was ahead of his time for the music at that point. When you think back at the opportunity others had, you could tell he stood the test of time.

Often I heard his music growing up and if I am not mistake my grandfather really liked him.

Rest in Peace Chuck Berry.
