Signed Notts County shirt for charity

Hi all,Β

Hope the mods are okay with me posting this here (if not, please move it to where it should be...)Β biggrin.gif

My name is Martin and I work for Yeovil Town Football Club along with my twin sons aged 16. Last month, we visited all 92 Premier & Nationwide League grounds collecting signed memorabilia to auction off upon our return. Had some fantastic times during the two weeks we were away, memories to last a lifetime. Watched twelve matches, met loads of ex-Yeovil players and collected about fifty items for the two charities - the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and the Adam Stansfield Foundation. If you want to read more, our website is atΒ http://www.4-2-3-1.org

We have a signed County awayΒ shirt available to bid on, courtesy of the club. The shirt is now on eBay until 9.15pm on Sunday evening (21st May) and with your (well deserved) safety now confirmed, we hope it will make a decent amount so please feel free to bid.

Finally, many congratulations on achieving safety, thought you were goners at one point. Had no particular teams I DID want to go down really but County came good with this, and let us in pitchside for a picture too, so I wish you well for a better season next year.Β

Hope you get a decent amount for the shirt. I've not long since paid 100.00 for a signed and framed shirt from 2 seasons ago. Good luck.

I'll get this plugged on social media for you.

Is your e-mail the best method of contacting you? Reason I ask is this isn't the only football related site I run, so I would be interested in doing a story on this if you would be open to that. Good luck with raising funds.

Hi there,Β

Thanks for this, it's much appreciated. Yes, youΒ can email me via the email address on this or alternatively follow us on Twitter - @4231challenge. The website has a lot of the info on what we have collected, also has a daily blog of when we went around the grounds too.Β

Best wishes

Martin

Thanks to those who are watching; just a reminder that it ends tomorrow night at 9.15pm so don't forget to get your bids in.

As a further incentive, I've been given a signed Notts County football but I can't date it, I'd say it was around 2011/12/13. Names on there include Curtis Thompson, Charlie Allen and Jeff Hughes plus there's another 10/11 unidentified ones.

Happy to throw the ball in for free to whoever wins the shirt. It'll only be of use to a County fan of course so the ball will just be a nice bonus.
