Game 25 - The Robins (A)

Team: Swindon Town

What line-up should Kevin Nolan opt for? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

Swindon were one of the sides I thought would be fighting for a top 3 spot, but they have gone right off the boil recently and have hardly won a game, so should be a good time to play them.

Will probably see a change back to the more solid usual line up and try to grind out a result, so will go for a 1- 1 draw to Notts ()

Swindon's away form is promotion quality, but their home form is relegation quality. Really inconsistent side, for some reason they just can't do it on their own turf. They hammered Luton away just a couple months ago but were hammered themselves at the County Ground. It's a difficult one to call, but given it's on their patch, I'm hoping that they don't turn a corner at home on Saturday... they can wait until Monday!

I consider this to be the hardest tests for Notts, yet I think if we keep our heads up and more importantly constantly focused we should be fine. They are a good team, nobody should question this but in recent weeks we have seen a different kind of magpies.

We just need to ensure that any chances are turned into good ones and ultimately taken.

The defence should be perfectly fine, provided they focus on the basics and actual pick up on their marks.

Swindon are a good side , play good football , for some reason it's not happening for them at home , so here's hoping that continues today , after being thumped by Luton they have much to prove , but if we start the game well , a good high tempo and are blessed with an early goal it could be a difficult afternoon for the hosts , going for a win for the pies 2-0 , COYP

One of them days today when nthing really went right for us. It was a very lathargic and leggy performance, we had no spark today. Swindon didn't outplay us, but they made themselves tough to break down, and we played into their hands a bit by just lumping it long to Stead all game who had little to no support. It took us until injury time to actually test their keeper.

Don't think there's any reason to panic, to be honest it was a very scrappy game with very little quality on show, and we just couldn't quite find that cutting edge today.

I'm sure Kevin Nolan will be looking into reinforcements next month. See a lot of people begging for a striker, and there's no doubt we could to with one, although sadly there's about 22 other clubs in this league thinking the same thing.
