Today's the 5 year since the death of our most legendary manager Jimmy Sirrel, I'm saddened that it seems to have bypassed some and although his memory lives on. I strongly feel that legends never die!

A true football legend and a real character too.

If it hadn't been for Jimmy coming in and transforming our club on a shoe string budget, we might not be here at all. We certainly wouldn't be where we are now.

R.I.P Jimmy. Let's have a win for him on Saturday

I've got some great memories of the Sirrel years to look back on, I don't think we'll ever see the likes of Jimmy again in spite of every new manager being proclaimed as the next Jimmy Sirrel.

Thanks for the memories Jimmy.

I should have started this years ago, I would have loved to have met and interviewed him. Hearing so many stories and nice things, I feel saddened that I never did but isn't this always the same for younger fans who haven't quite seen what a iconic and legendary manager achieved in a period sadly a far distant memory. Some fans compare Warnock and others named "the next jimmy".

There's only one Jimmy Sirrel.

We'll be lucky to find a manager who can achieve back to back promotions in this day and age.

It's possible these days, but only if you have millions of pounds. Otherwise, there is no chance. It's a sad reflection football is so money orientated nowadays.
