Well I have contacted the club (Mrs T) to see if anybody would be interested in a lovely piece of embroidery.

The lady who created the piece is a friend, and did mention that if the price was right she would consider selling.

It quite rightly won "Best in Show" up here this year, the photo doesn't really do it justice, the detail and colours are amazing.

Do you think this is something that would interest anybody else?

I looks really nice, did she do it with Notts in mind?

Two for joy, it would look great in the Notts County boardroom.

Nope, she just did it to enter our village show. I agree, re the Boardroom or somebodies office, Mrs T could even buy it Ray for Xmas.

The Jimmy painting doesn't hang anywhere currently, it's a shame. I don't really see this being used around the suites sadly, although I do think it's brilliant and very nice. We seem to be keeping things quite simple, as when you approach the upstairs area it's cabinets and signed memorabilia. If I did it, it would be very hard to sell it also, even if the price was tempting.

Something like that should be passed onto family members in my opinion, it would make a good family heirloom.

One, would appear to be persona non grata as far as the club is concerned. Not even so much as a thank you but no we are not interested.

Honestly, at times....

I think Mrs. T. has had other important things on her mind just lately, I believe she has lost her mother recently.

Which we know is devastating. I lost mine aged 21 and was then sent to the Falklands 11 days later.

Of course my sympathies go out to her, especially as I know what she is going through. Certain things put football in perspective, it is sometimes considered strange how much football matters to people.

But in this country we both love and need sport.
