Can the Vanarana National League financially survive the season without government assistance?

Featured Replies

Notts as a club, are lucky that they've got many fans willing support them financially.

This isn't a solution, but if heads are put together there's got to be a means to go forward. The government or the F.A must find a way to support clubs who are suffering a loss of income. It might be controversial, however, if clubs spend beyond their means for example breaking the FFP rules - they should be left to fend for themselves. This would be difficult in the National League since clubs can budget what they want, yet too high shouldn't be anyone else's problem but the clubs.

A field where dreams become reality.

The idea that the EFL will refuse to accept promoted teams because of the competitiveness of the NL is seriously pessimistic and isn't worth losing sleep over.

The lack of crowds is, however. Very few football clubs at our level can go without paying spectators for two thirds of the season (at least) and survive, and the NL doesn't have a lucrative TV deal to tide things over either. A solution could be a combination of state support and live streaming of matches, with supporters paying for online "season tickets", but the current TV deal with BT Sport is exclusive and highly restrictive, and BT will need to be accommodated somehow. But if no solution is found, clubs are going to start dropping like flies.

i agree with this approach, if bt sports actually cares about what they have the rights for they will make some movement to help.
