The wood...are they good at chopping?

On the surface, you would think this would be a straight forward game for Notts. Drill down and you'll find reasons as to why it might be tougher than expected. Boreham Wood have only conceded 8 goals in 10 games. They went to Torquay and picked up a draw. It might take a while to break them down but I think Notts will. 1-0 home win I reckon.

It should be a straight forward game, but usually these types of games aren't.

I've just tried to talk @super_pie into watching the game, I met just watch it on my own.

Hopefully, our lot won't be tired and can inject the pace needed to keep the momentum going forward. It's important that we take the steam out of the opposition by retaining the ball, we don't have to go straight into 5th gear and chase everything. Provided Notts does the basics are done well, keeps hold of the ball and creates chances. Now, that Kyle Wootton has found the net again - I think his confidence on goal will be higher.

I could easily see him slipping a couple past the Boreham Wood keeper tonight.

Even at this stage, automatic promotion looks unlikely. Just got to concentrate on sealing a playoff place now.

Far too strong and quick for Notts on the night... 2 early missed chances certainly led to the defeat

poor result but its not something notts cant respond from. just disappointing we could not manage a draw, at least then we would have continued the unbeaten run. it needs to start again but i think boreham wood deserved the victory.
