does anyone know if there is any quality freebies available or will be in january?

lets discuss possible free signings.

I know Luke Rodgers is available on a free transfer, also Caleb Folan. I can't say I really keep up with the on-goings though - Hopefully someone else will be able to throw some names into the hat.

Would anyone here like Luke back at the lane?

the way things are going, might be able to get half the Fulham team on a free transfer. currently hull 5 Fulham 0

Well Derry did discuss bringing back Haber in Jan as Stevenage don't want him so his contract would be terminated by mutual consent.

He did look good, but with Ball and Enoch and the other strikers who we have on the books is he really a step up???

I think we have far to many strikers to be honest, usually this leads to inconsistency and other problems. We need to filter some out, if this is the way forward. I don't mind Haber personally, he tires but he does remind me of an headless chicken sometimes. We have more experienced strikers than we do midfielders, my key area would be that.

Free Transfers? I hope we can wheel and deal by attracting players who want to play first team football.

If we need to filter some out Joe might I suggest :- Arquin ,Labadie  Dumbaya .for starters and follow on with some of the dross we have been seeing at the lane for the past 6 months . As for bringing in players we have some who are out on loan that would be worth another look also Freeman's contract is up in January and Derby want rid so there is a deffo to go for . Abbott knows the market for players out there so let him and Derry have a good look around and for them to tell Rodwell et al who they want and for the board to get em if it is affordable but lets keep away from the cheapo option as it will only end in a fiercer relegation scrap than we have at the moment

If its true that Freemans contract is up in Jan then I would sell the club silver to get him on the payroll. Superb player and him and JCR seemed to have a good understanding down the right.

This is Notts county, we don't have any silver, it is all stainless steel.

Previous years I have questioned this! We need to get back on track. If we can sign Freeman it would be an immense signing because he's got the ability to go further, hopefully we can sort things.

I'm fearful quite a few of our squad members will be 'freebies' this Jan.

After today, I'm not fearful. I'm hoping they will be freebies!!!

Considering how many players we've got on the books who weren't involved today, then some of the current team need to take a good long look at themselves.

Some are worth giving a chance in L1 or L2 (I think L2 is very likely). JCR ran his socks off and put in effort but it's awkward, I see him being a big asset in League Two. I'll sound negative, so I'm going to quit here.

Oh dear god.....

We are staring down the trap-door not into the abyss!! Life is not going to be pleasant for us lot for the remainder of the campaign.

I have said before, I could stomach going down, IF we were to come back stronger. There are several ways this could be achieved, but the most important way would be to have everybody on side, and keep the momentum going.

We have done it before (Tranmere, Brighton), others have done it Southampton, Wimbledon. This is what we could well do again.

If we drop down and are in disarray then ... GOD HELP US

It all depends if we can ship the dead wood from our current squad. However, given most of them are so lazy I don't think they'll want to go to a club where they have to work for a living, rather sponge off Notts til their contract is up.

We need to learn to build a safe, stable and reliable team. Players who will go down fighting and put the effort in because THEY want to do well.

It's going to be an interesting month to follow, I'm not sure about the chances of making an impact within the current squad signings can make but it's got to be the gamble. We need to build right now, making sure we are good enough to come back.

I haven't got a clue about available players.

The only New Years present I want is the retention of Grealish and McGregor. Without these two, I don't think 10 freebies could save us.

im looking forward to some new blood into the team, and hopefully this will give us a booster.

i would love to see Luke back. I know he was a fave back when Hughesie was still with us. And my son loved him
