  1. Let's get it done so we can move forward towards lifting ourselves up the table. #COYP
  2. It's something I hope will continue, as it would be nice to get out and resolve the current issues being worked towards together. Fans can make a huge impact, if the support is given and likewise if it's appreciated. I think AH knows that we will rally behind the club and players, after all its what we fans do. Hopefully this season will be one which will lay the foundations for some success, yes build slowly but the rooting of the football club needs to be level.
  3. I love seeing so many happy and excited magpies, my timeline and social feeds (including PON's) have been full of optimism and hope. The players have had a lot of stick, though as Hardy and Nolan have said it's to be expected with losing 10 games in a row. Yet we have the foundations to push on, it sounded like Nolan has done wonders with the defence in short space of time. Fingers crossed when the defence finds their feet, the midfield will inter link and then chances upfront may come. It could look completely different if we can unlock the embargo but the belief is there and must remain at all cost. Will have to watch the highlights again.
  4. Solid point for us, cannot fault a goalless draw at all. It sounded like Meadow Lane found its groove back, so I'm very excited about going to the next home game. I had planned to go today, however I forget about the kick off time and it went out the window. It would have been nice to say hello to my friends @Italian Magpies. Looks like we had a bit of magic in the air and a lot of optimism. Hopefully the players continue to work hard, we have a HUGE task ahead of us.
  5. Haha Seany... LOL I hope its really him, though I should add the flag to my knowledge is owned by a fan. Former media members told me this after I tried to get it back, the person who used to get the flag out (told me it wouldn't return). I guess the takeover resolved that one. Forest friend told me today that he believes Notts will win because Mansfield will assume they will. Made a good case and point argument when you think about it, last year at home we assumed we would and it turned out wrong. We then believed better would come away from home, did it? No. Low expectations and a true passion for this club, lets have a go! COYP!!!
  6. Welcome to Meadow Lane Mr Nolan, hope you bring your fiery passion and 110% dedication. If your attitude passes off onto some of the players (I won't name any, we all know they're gentle petals) it will massively but really if certain people want a fresh start come on board now and help Kevin. This will either be a very good decision or, well I won't say it. Good Luck!
  7. I think this one is a must, the players have to battle and show their worth. The optimism needs to be on the up permanently, so if we can win or draw - it would be a good start. I expect Mansfield to be direct, play scrappy stuff and just try to insert power over our players. Time to show who's got a spine and any sort of passion for this club lads! Not confident by any means, yet I feel the atmosphere will be better. Only time will tell. Sorry, I forgot to amend the settings for this (it's automated). Had a lot on recently.
  8. The rebuilding can officially start now, its hopeful that we can really get behind the club and make a difference now. I do wished we could have before, however the majority of fans know how difficult things was. Good luck to Alan Hardy.
  9. Should never have lost 4-1, yet when players can't work together or try to present the fans that deserve it - you will always see the pastry crumble and the pies won't be there. It's beyond disappointing at this stage.
  10. This is really dire stuff, I hope we as fans can play our part - we need to try to do something. Yes its on the field that matters, plus Hardy needs to pull several quality rabbits out of his hat but we can either melt (and sink) or sink fighting. There's no doubt the players are awful and lack a spine to motivate them. This result should convince enough people that we are in major trouble.
  11. Plenty of praise for Osbourne, especially early on but having three players on the goal line is beyond parking the bus. This is really desperate and depressing stuff.
  12. I have probably seen him play, and his name rings a bell but to be honest it isn't one of the youngsters I have heard much of (in fact I don't recall any comments). I'm quite nervous at this point. COYP
  13. There's been some criticism about Hardy tweet that I have seen on social media. Even if we field a youngster, how would it impact things? It's not like we are throwing a world beater into the mix or someone who is returning from an injury. Yes, they may think it could be a vulnerable area but this will ultimately test the lad. They may make a mistake by focusing on this area, he may feature on the bench or simply not start (one of those sneaky tricks). I really don't have a problem with it personally, you'd be surprised about how the opposition find things out before games anywho. Let's hope someone else is given a chance to shine so that one day they may be a world beater (even if it's just within our division at the time).
  14. Can we get some score predictions folks? Keep adding your thoughts, some very good comments above. What do you think @Piethagoram? C'mon have your say. My prediction would be 1=1 or 2-1 to them, depends if we crumble or stand tall (for once).
  15. Okay, for the sake of backing Smith - lets pretend they're good enough (or should I say 'care' enough?). Is the defence good enough Al? Sorry, I retract my question.
  16. This will be somewhat harsh but I worry about if he would pick himself, however surely as the manager it would make him enforce our own squad of players more? That's right... Alan Smith, player, coach, manager and now super captain.
  17. Technically, this is a game we should at least get a draw from but I want Alan Smith to go for the win. They're not much better than us, yet have managed to win 2 games recently and picked up a draw - there is a defeat within that mix too. I really don't know, I think Alan would probably be wise packing the midfield more than the defence. 4-4-2 doesn't even seem to work for us, so perhaps we should get the full/wing backs to support the midfield and go for the legendary three centre backs? We need to think of something which would allow us to represent a professional football team. I hope Campbell gets a chance to feature, he seems one of our only threats.
  18. Good news regarding 'experienced manager', hopefully the new managers assistant will have similar wealth of knowledge. We need a duo who can get out out of this mess.
  19. I'm tired and sick of the uncertainty around Notts, AH needs to find a fan favourite and someone able to fight relegation. Certain players need to go now - we can't just point the finger at John Sheridan. Once the takeover has resolved completely, that's the time to restart.
  20. I think I've been watching too many crime documentaries because I'm starting to see keywords, which makes me think Sheridan is hinting at other things within his messages. Why would they fear playing because we are losing? As a player you become motivated to overturning this if you are worth your salt, if you fear that and playing - well I suspect the basement clubs will come calling. Seems more to the way things are being suggested, as another example the use of the word 'vulnerable' - also the suggestion of not thinking of it despite being the manager. Compare these quotes with others recently released, you could quite easily think John Sheridan is being somewhat cryptic about things going on.
  21. I'm not so sure its easy as the above, he does have criticism to face but some of it is very unfair on him. I think its best to focus on turning our season around by doing the right things, he knows the depth of the squad and I am sure he's certain of players who have repeatedly let us all down based on poor performances. Its time to play the right players, for them to step up and hopefully then we won't experience issues which we have prior. Stop the losing streak.
  22. Good luck Mick, best of luck away from the circus that is NCFC.
  23. There's nothing to wonder, its various of reasons as to why the gates have reduced. Sadly people want to come to see a team win or in with a chance of winning, Notts doesn't quite match the bill in this department but some can't afford it. Others have concerns, alternative reasons - yet I agree with the above. Lets just focus on stability and trying to enjoy the football.
  24. Buddy, I'd rock it if just for a laugh.
  25. At least AH won't lack a sense of humour or flare, I think we don't need any pipe dreams or blown up belief of where we are or can be. We should take things as they come and I largely agree with his view point of Notts, as its rational and practical - rather than rash and illogical. More importantly, I think he will be patient and see the smaller signs of progress that others simply can't. Considering having dealt with the ongoing negotiations (when he was the only serious buyer) - I think that experience will be vital and speaks volumes very early on. Thank god someone saw the light and sold up.
