We are now at Episode 3 with the Pride of Nottingham PONcast and we are delighted with the progress made so far. These early shows have helped us to get to grips with the production, allowing us to work on the principles we set outright when we began Pride of Nottingham many moons ago. Joe Jones and I have been enjoying discussing Notts, as we have throughout our involvement with doing the Pride of Nottingham website, and we are delighted to bring yet another feature to the Notts County community. We have an on-demand service for folks to catch up with these features, which can be found on the PONcast website. You can subscribe to the PONcast show by downloading any of the major Android apps, the likes of ‘Podcast Addict’, ‘Podcast Republic’ or even the ‘Pocket Casts’ app which I highly recommend. You can also subscribe via Itunes for all IOS devices, including Iphones, Ipads and Mac computers. In addition, we are on the popular TuneIn Radio app, which is available on multiple platforms including Windows handheld devices. To-date, we have 3 main shows available, one PONcast Extra and the introduction episode we released at the very beginning. Below you can read the PONcast Episode 3 Show Notes. [media]http://traffic.libsyn.com/poncast/Pride_of_Nottingham_-_PoNcast_Episode_3.mp3 If your mobile cannot display the media player, please download directly from - Here. You can listen to the PONcast by clicking play. Please be sure to share this journey with us here at Pride of Nottingham, subscribe and get in touch with us on our community forum at www.prideofnottingham.co.uk/community/ or on any of our social pages. You Pies!
  3. Congrats @DangerousSausage, you have won the t-shirt. Could you PM me your details?
  4. I'm going to leave this open until about 7pm. I will also ask several people to head over to vote for the winner, so that it gives people a fair chance. The folks I already mentioned this too, agreed about helping make sure it's fair so it should be interesting.
  5. I'll combat the disadvantage by asking people to check at points whereby I notice several updates, I am sure enough people will re-read what people say because it's actually interesting to see what's said. Unless anyone disagrees? I'm going to ask our friendly neighbour photographer to be a judge, since he would want a Notts T-Shirt of course!
  6. Okay, for a chance to win this very fine design and excellent T-Shirt pictured below. I would like you to simply answer the following questions to form a sort of testimonial for this very website. Quite simple to do and as always, I ask community members to vote for their favourite. Who ever gains the most votes will win the T-Shirt! The deadline will fall on Monday the 27th at 8pm. I will then inform and contact the winner so that they can claim their prize. Please answer all four of the following questions. Why did you join prideofnottingham.co.uk? What is your main highlight of being a member? How much have you seen PoN grow during your time? As a community, what would you say are the three core values to PoN and why?

The folks who brought you the brilliant Great Escape imagery that spurred Notts County to safety last season are back with a fantastic new set of designs featuring some of the greatest Magpies to sport the legendary black and white stripes! The Art Of Football have created artwork of such Notts greats as Les Bradd, Sir Charlie Palmer, Tommy Lawton, Phil Turner and Tommy Johnson, which you can get in both t-shirt and print form! With the launch of new designs the Art of Football has kindly provided us Notts fans with two t-shirts which we will be giving away as prizes, keep tuned for news regarding these two contests tomorrow! View the Full Collection To view their range of designs and to find out more, visit art-of-football.com now or follow them on Twitter or Facebook.
  9. What's happened to your blog @tonyhateley?
  10. I hope your feeling better mate, it's a horrible thing. A friend who helped design PoN suffered with 'em not that long ago
  11. Good to hear him talk, with also acknowledging he wants us to move on. It's not always the case but I am pleased he's not bitter or anything. Thanks for drafting this JJ.

I hope we can get back to business, I am still sad to see Derry part ways but we have to use this moment to fully get behind who comes in or the league will shallow us. We can't afford to lose on Saturday!

Many of the fans’ wishes came true yesterday, with the announcement of Jim Rodwell’s departure from Notts. However, what does this mean for a club like ours? More importantly, what does it mean for the future of the football club? The announcement comes at a weird time since the club needs to have as much stability as possible. In addition, rumours have emerged of Damian Irvine’s contract not being extended. On the pitch, Notts are looking desperate and at half time against Rochdale the views of the fans were quite clear. We all want to see Notts doing well, although I am concerned about the reshaping which is happening and it leaves me to question how we move forward. The answer is not so easy to answer but I’m hoping for a brighter future for the Magpies. It appears that more and more fans want Derry out, I do not argue with opinions and I have come to be at the stage where I feel that the ending to this season will be grimmer than the whole of last season. We had real hopes this season and for one reason or another, it just has not progressed. Speaking to my driving instructor, another passionate Notts fan who runs the ‘Notts Driving School’, we have discussed the moments on and off the field and I feel that we really did miss something back when Shaun Derry decided to have a word with the players. I mean, why not now? Why are we not seeing more togetherness? The approach, which had been put in place after he arrived, helped secure the great escape. It is leaving questions – can it be done again? I do think we will be fine, I mean my driving instructor Jim said we can be lucky that the teams beneath us are so poor and I feel that this is a valid point. The problem I see is that leading a game and appearing to dominate before going on to concede, collapse and lose against supposedly weaker teams, it worries me. So how does Notts move forward? I do not believe for a second a new arisen will make much difference, it is not like a phoenix waiting to be released from the fire or a birth of a new beginning is on the cards. I am sorry to say it, I feel we will have to battle and work much harder to see the changes we hope for. The budget next season may help, however it all depends what happens from now until the end of the season. I certainly hope that Derry can turn the tide and withstand the pressure, I hope the squad of players he called ‘his type of players’ start to repay him for his chance to lead what I feel is a very passionate club. And for next season, we must learn from the past few seasons and start to install real hope, real togetherness, and harbour the passion which I see each week from the fans. I am still excited about the next season, yet I am daunting the weekend and I do not know what know what to expect from MK Dons. I know I fear that we could lose quite heavily, though I hope somewhere along the way we start to patch things.

Please, please, please can we just have a good weekend! If the teams around us struggle, that will just improve things! Ever so slightly but enough. COYP!
  16. It looked early on we could have beat them quite nicely but we took our foot off the gas and became the typical Notts County we know + love. The joys, oh the joys.
  17. Good luck Weymuff, keep me updated mate and I hope you have fun in the process! You Pies!
  18. The question is do they sell those famous German Sausages and is that why you're not called SillyPie or DangerousPuka? Great blog! How did I miss this...
  19. I'm going to say it, I think this will be the game whereby it highlights how much we require someone like Liam Noble. I expect them to try and keep the tempo of the game slow, perhaps being a little physical but if we can pass the ball like we did against Port Vale we could get something. Defence needs to be rock solid. Good write up mate!

We can forget about the play-off places, I just hope we come home happy and feeling better having done so with all 3 points. It's looking more and more gloomy but all the fans I speak to one match days speak with passion, no matter what the views are. I just hope Derry rides the storm because I do feel we will be better from this.
  21. Considering the fact it seemed destined to head towards a defeat, I am happy to take the point. Nothing remotely negative at all about that but we do need to get balls into good positions, so we can then strike it towards the goal. Rather pinch a point back than lose 3 all together. COYP!

What no mention of Bradford's request? JJ Out!! Jake Andrews to Aston Villa? They must be preparing for relegation, the lads got talent but he's not that good. Really good read mate, majority of this even I haven't had time time check on.
