League Two Round-Up: Weekend Saturday 23/1/2016
I hope JF signs a CB and releases a few players. This weekend's results haven't been so bad, we can still gain places and ignore this Saturday but the performances must come. Speaking to @Dan Mansfield didn't play very well either, so our game against each other will probably be more crucial to both sides.

Notts County succumb to meek defeat against AFC Wimbledon
I couldn't read this last night, I felt very depressed after that showing by Notts - just majorly disjointed and far too defensive!!

Meet the Fans 15/16 - AFC Wimbledon
Jamie Fullartonβs first Notts County home game saw the Magpies take on phoenix club AFC Wimbledon, a side bidding to make it eight games unbeaten away. Pride of Nottingham spoke to several Notts fans before the game about how they think Jamie Fullarton had done so far at the Meadow Lane helm, whether Liam Noble and Blair Adams should be in the squad, whether more signings needed to be made and what they thought the dayβs result would be. Match Report: Youth Team - Burton Albion
It sounds like Nigel is checking the full depths of his squad, I wonder if Jamie will do this type of thing himself? Good report, I am sure they're learning and taking this games as they come. Onwards & Upwards.

Match Discussion: Game 26 - The Wombles (H)
Wimbledon played very well, as a unit they was tight and they attack us with purpose. If they had a bit more quality, I think they would be one of the best teams in this division - it was a joy watching them (however frustrating it was too). Notts totally underestimated them, weak and naive play but the defending wasn't acceptable. Playing Adams on the wing was a mistake, I have said in the past (along with others) this should be tried but he was very poor. Offered nothing at all, yet still frustrates by losing the ball - whilst bumbling around. Hewitt was also very poor, he left us wide open - as did Bennett in midfield. Our attacks was limited, our towards had no chance. Murray and Noble should have started. McLeod looked uninterested all game, yes he had poor to limited service but he was disappointing, at least Stead tried. Very disappointed! I don't blame Fullerton so much, he got it wrong and I accept that. Despite thinking he waited too long to make changes but today highlighted the work required. I'm not going to get onto him though, sorting the squad out would help. Hopefully he will and we'll be stronger for it.

Match Discussion: Game 26 - The Wombles (H)
I think we will be more neutral in our play myself, I watched what Fullarton had to say and it sounded good. He says the basics, along with cliches but he's right with his opinion. If we do play defensive, we'll end up getting lost. Noble will be of high importance going forward, I hope he's eager to get on the scoresheet. COYP!

Notts-Joe Column: Alan Smith's experience may be useful for Fullarton
Watching the Salford game on TV spoke volumes, every time they panned the cameras onto the pair - you could see more to it, especially if you read lips/body language. I was going to write about it but thought it would be too negative. Yet, I don't either enjoyed working with the other - I could be wrong.

Notts-Joe Column: Alan Smith's experience may be useful for Fullarton
A lot has been said during the period whereby Alan Smith was rumoured to be joining Plymouth Argyle, which I must admit I wasnβt all that bothered about. However, I do think Smith will be a great coach and someone ideal to have around as a backroom member of staff. Itβs just hard to envision him playing week in and out for Notts, perhaps as a part player who can make an impact in the important games β whereby a little grit in midfield will help Notts in those tough matches? I do believe we can afford to allow players who will feature less this season permission to leave the club. Yet at the time, I made the point about how a player like Alan Smith is important to have around other players such as Curtis Thompson β young hungry players looking to establish themselves and their careers. He may also be an asset to Jamie Fullarton, who will require all the experience and help he can find. As a new manager looking to gain managerial experience after a wealth of experience working with young players, it seems ideal to have someone who has been at the top and remained there for the majority of their career. Iβve made it no secret that I believe Jamie Fullarton should have his own assistant, I still hope to see news filter out about this but in the meantime, I am sure the new Notts manager Jamie Fullarton will have other people to help him. I honestly feel the majority of fans will realise itβs important for him to have his own No.2 and someone who he feels can guide him with the day to day tasks of football management. Can Alan Smith be someone who can temporarily fill this gap, along with Richard Dryden? Both Ricardo Moniz and Shaun Derry struggled during the tough tests faced, yet on paper, both had very good support in Dave Kevan and Greg Abbott. Itβs for that reason why I feel itβs of vast importance but in the meanwhile β since Notts will be looking to gain a form of stability. Maybe, just maybe Alan Smith will be more assistance off the field than on it. Thereβs no doubt that he brings many different types of benefits, from interest due to his playing career, to his personality and passion for the game. What are your thoughts? Match Discussion: Game 26 - The Wombles (H)
It all depends on if we play our a game, as Fullarton seems to focus on the tactcics he believes teams will play - which is smart. Yet I think Wimbledon are one of few sides who can switch their own style of play quite successfully, they also have a squad which understand each other and these are two things which we may struggle with. It's not about how good we are or can be, on the day it will come down to who simply plays better. I've finally came up with my prediction, I think we'll win 2-1. Half time it may be 1-1, with a goal around 65th minute for us to clinch all three points.

Mansfield Town manager: 'Blair Adams loan extension is off'
It probably would have been clearer if we just recalled him (if possible) despite his loan deal expiring not after Jamie Fullarton arrived. It would have allowed him to see more of Blair, whilst cutting a lot of this back and forth nonsense out. I'm hoping they don't move on swiftly, at least not to the point they don't take him if he doesn't feature for us.

Preview: Youth Team - Burton Albion
It's been mentioned that the reserve team will be where we blood our youngsters, which is the way it should be. I think it's important to get them playing on a good pitch like Meadow Lane, which enables them support and encourage, yet importantly what it is like playing football professional. Hopefully they'll put on a good showing against Burton. COYP!

Match Discussion: Game 26 - The Wombles (H)
It's a game on our day I believe we should win, I know that they have done well against similar sides and are consistent - yet I think we have enough to seal all three points. McLeod will be a miss if he's still injured, I think they would struggle to restrain him. Hopefully we can pack a punch in midfield because that's where the battle will take place. Wimbledon are a very structured team who are comfortable passing and taking teams on. Fingers crossed our defence stands tall and gets the job done, if we keep them quiet - we should score. COYP PS. @Dripsey3 I'm please you started this, I'm struggling to get the topic to generate - just teething problems.

League Two News: Newport County secure Β£1m transfer windfall
In a few seasons time - perhaps Notts may be able to sell on some of our players for profit? I would hate us to become a selling club solely but the odd player is smart, as we may not risk losing them for nothing. Interesting round-up of League Two. Keeps me obsorbing information which is useful.

Alan Smith may not be leaving County for Plymouth Argyle
Plymouth Argyle has been rumoured to have offered an 18-month deal to Alan Smith back in late December, however, the Notts midfielder looks set to turn down the move and remain amongst the ranks at Meadow Lane. News emerged via Twitter after an image picturing Smith posing for a photo with a young football fan. Later on the same day, another photograph depicting Smith meeting up with Argyle manager Derek Adams was shared amongst social media. Yet the magpies' are believed to have given Smith permission to talk to Plymouth Argyle, but it is now understood that after having had time to speak to the new Notts manager Jamie Fullarton, Smith has decided to see out his remaining deal at Meadow Lane, which expires at the end of the season. Smith is believed to be one of the lowest earners at Notts, as he has made it clear he is not motivated by money. His decision to remain as a Notts County player will be well received by the dressing room, with Smith a popular figure among other team mates and he will be keen to now impress Notts manager Jamie Fullarton who had named Smith as one of his substitutes in the 1-0 away win last Saturday against Crawley Town. So far he has managed to have made 17 appearances, with Smith being in contention for selection against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday. However, some Notts fans may have wished for Alan Smith to be one of few players to depart Meadow Lane - as we sort to reduce the current playing squad. Jamie Fullarton to give Blair Adams a chance at Notts County
I've always said if he came back he should be given a run, the only problem is I don't think he will take his chance. I would have let Mansfield have him personally - yet I'll always wish him luck. COYP

League Two Preview: 23/01/2016 & 26/01/2016
There are some interesting ties this weekend, which I will be keeping an eye out on. Hopefully, JF can get off to a good start at home, it would help massively right now. @liampie - I'm painfully editing the article, removing the code which is applied via HTML. I can only apologise Fixed now...

Filip Valencic: 'Crawley winner powered with anger towards Ricardo Moniz'
It's good that he's taken the chance presented, I also hope that he continues to do so because the more firepower we have - the better our options will be on match days. Sometimes a manager says 'your ready' to gain a reaction, perhaps Moniz didn't see that reaction. Onwards & Upwards.

Delight as Notts County beat Crawley Town for first away win since August
Pleased with the win and the feedback given on the performance, it sounded like we was very stern with our defending. Hopefully a sign of more to come. COYP!

Dougie Freedman "fearful" of Notts County following Jamie Fullarton appointment
Majority is just a friend wishing his mate good luck, I am sure Forest aren't remotely concerned because they have bigger problems. I just hope it gives Fullarton a boost.

Tommy Nixey: Welcome to NG2 Jimmy

League Two Preview: 16/01/2016
I really don't know what to expect from this weekend, but if our fans who are travelling to Crawley - make noise and rally behind the squad etc. Perhaps we may get something? Worse things happen at sea huh...

Notts-Joe Column: What's required from Jamie Fullarton
I have no doubt in my mind what is required by our new manager Jamie Fullarton, yet I wonder what his assessment of the squad will be - will he agree with us fans that the squad is simply too big? There's no dismissal that the quality of our defending must improve, it's simply not adequate and if there are any signings to be made during this January transfer window - it must be a centre back. And I hope that he is sincere when he says that each player will be given a chance, as I feel another priority will be to establish a consistent starting 11. Whilst it would be also welcoming to see a manager actually work on mistakes which happen within matches, so that the continuity of each player is actually worth their squad number, worthy of a starting position and importantly we may actually see lessons learnt. However, I don't actually feel we will see any defensive additions, nor do I think we will release any players. So how will Jamie Fullarton change our misfortunes with his limited experience? I think the answer will be found with his first opening five games and how frequently he makes changes - will it be a learning period for the club? Absolutely, yet it's important that he hits the ground running. For myself, I hope we prepare to start games a little more carefully - we see the defence relapse when we push and this occurs even during periods whereby you wouldn't expect it. Can attacking football be a part of the remedy to fix the issues? Partly, yet our build up play also has to improve. Our problems aren't just the poor defending, the switching off, or the lack of confidence. It's also how we pass the ball around, how we look to connect our striker(s) and the frustrating formations which prevented them from having chances under Ricardo Moniz. I hope Fullarton reverts to playing Jon Stead as a striker, whilst seeing that it is important to make use of our wingers - just as it is to see our centre midfield packed with energy, tracking and creativity. If he can get the basics right, it would see a vast improvement and I also genuinely believe that he's lucky to have inherited such diverse squad - regardless of how big it is. We clearly have a talented set of players and it's for him to render it, moulding it into its true potential. Can he do it without support? Nobody knows, yet I can't be the only one who feels he requires an experienced assistant and someone to help him move forward. So there's plenty to digest around the club, to enable a brighter end to this season. Notts County CEO compares Jamie Fullarton to Brendan Rodgers
It's so easy to 'slap' comparisons onto someone, yet without seeing it - it simply means nothing and with all due respect to the above comments, I just hope Fullarton has his own style and can bring success based on passion/desire. Results are what we will be looking out for.

New Notts County manager Jamie Fullarton gave his first press conference on Monday
I wasn't very impressed overall with his interview but you have to give him time, he seemed either uncomfortable or nervous - whilst he also seemed keen to impress and I would have been more so if he focused on talking about his visions for the team. Not sure why this hype of the 'next Sirrel' came from though. At least he played it down.
