Jodi Jones Nominated for Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month
Jodi Jones’ nomination is so well-deserved! He has been a brilliant player for Notts County, significantly contributing to our great start this season. With his three assists and two goals in August, he has shown how vital he is to the team. Beyond numbers, his work rate, and determination inspire the entire team. Whether he wins or not, it's impressive to see him being recognised. Go Jones, you've got the fans’ full support!

Notts Alumni: Paul Devlin
Paul Devlin's career is nothing short of remarkable. Starting from non-league football and working his way up to the Premier League, his journey is a testament to true grit and determination. His time at Notts laid a solid foundation for his future achievements, and it's evident that he made a significant impact during his tenure there. The Anglo-Italian Cup run was especially memorable, showcasing his ability to perform on bigger stages.

Match Discussion: Game 5 - The Owd Reds (H)
It always makes me laugh when people call David McGoldrick a "cheat code." It's a strange comment that is used to impress the reader. McGoldrick has benefited from needing to be at his best, while not playing too much. It helps that the team has a consistent quality across the first team and bench. When he's in this form, it's important to play him, but when he slows down, which is natural, he can still make an impact. Right now, he's showing why he should be starting. I had hoped to see Jevani Brown as the striker, but I was pleased Cedwyn Scott was given that chance. It was a very good result for Notts!

Match Discussion: Game 5 - The Owd Reds (H)
Accrington might try to kick the ball long when they're under pressure. However, I think most of the play will be on the ground. They might try to disrupt our play by kicking the ball away. I hope the game is played fairly and without any rough tackles. With the rain, the pitch might be slippery. But I think it will be a good game between two good teams.

National Anthem
How many players actually sing the National Anthem instead of just pretending to? I prefer honesty to pretending. Maybe he doesn't like the royal family, and that's his choice. He should be proud of his country, and singing the National Anthem doesn't prove whether he is or not.

Alex Bass Prepares for the Challenge Ahead: Notts County Keeper Focused on Maintaining Form
Alex Bass has been a reliable goalkeeper for us. He's played well and made very few mistakes. I saw one small error against Grimsby, but it was hard to be critical of him for that. Overall, he's been very impressive. He's loud and confident, and he's calm in the penalty area. He reminds me of Darren Ward, a solid and reliable goalkeeper who was our number one for many years. I'm glad that Alex is happy and settled at Notts.

A Statement From The Notts County Board of Directors.
The club just wants to reassure fans, so I give them credit for posting the statement. I think the club can sometimes be pressured into making these kinds of comments. They should only make them when they're necessary. The board has explained and clarified things. They've talked about believing in the squad, and now it's up to us to support the players and head coach.

Match Discussion: Game 4 - The Robins (A)
It was a good football match. Notts were a bit more patient in building up their play, while Swindon tried to move the ball too quickly. Both teams made poor passes, but that's what League Two is like. What really impressed me was how Notts got back into the game. They played passing football and moved into the right areas. Both of David McGoldrick's goals were well-finished. The game wasn't bad at all. Both teams were fighting for the points and didn't want to settle for a draw.

Stuart Maynard: ‘Smash and Grab’ Win Shows Notts County’s Promotion Credentials
I think Maynard’s doing a remarkable job navigating the tough League Two landscape. The “smash and grab” win over Swindon showcased just how resilient our squad is. McGoldrick’s performance was an absolute treat to watch; his goals were clinical and came at crucial moments. What’s more impressive is the team’s ability to hold on and see out a tough match. The new signings look promising, especially Abbott, who seems like a versatile player. Highlighting defensive solidity and efficient finishing, this win will surely boost our promotion hopes. Let’s keep this momentum going and iron out those minor issues in intensity.

David McGoldrick: ‘It Wasn’t My Greatest Performance, But Two Goals and a Win Are What Matters'
David McGoldrick might say it wasn’t his best performance, but scoring two goals in an important match speaks volumes about his contribution to the team. His first goal was a moment of brilliance, and the second showcased his quick thinking. It’s great to see a veteran player like him making such an impact. His comments about team camaraderie and competition for places are also spot on; it’s clear he’s committed to the club’s success. The fans’ enthusiasm and his connection with them add an extra layer to his return. Here’s hoping he continues to deliver such performances throughout the season.

Notts Alumni: Tom Keetley
Tom Keetley’s story is both inspiring and heartbreaking. As a footballer, he was truly exceptional, breaking records and leaving a lasting legacy at Notts County. His goal-scoring ability was phenomenal, and it’s clear that he was a pivotal figure during one of the club’s most successful periods. However, what struck me most was how different his life was after football. The financial difficulties and health issues he faced are a stark reminder of the challenges that many players endure once their playing days are over. It’s a shame that someone who gave so much to the sport didn’t receive the support he needed later in life. Keetley’s story is a powerful reminder of the importance of preparing for life after football.

The Magpie’s Eye: Notts County - A Season of Promise and Progress
I think it's essential for fans to get behind Stuart Maynard, especially considering the progress we've seen so far. Changing managers often disrupts the team's chemistry, and we're beginning to see better football under his guidance. The defending against Tranmere Rovers was particularly impressive, and Maynard's tactics seem to be more effective each game. It's not just about immediate results but building a sustainable future for Notts. If fans rally behind him, it could create a more positive atmosphere that benefits everyone involved.

Stuart Maynard Hails 'Incredible' Notts County Performance After Grimsby Town Triumph
Really delighted to see Notts perform so well against Grimsby Town. Stuart Maynard's game plan was brilliantly executed, allowing the team to showcase their skill and resilience. The early goals set the tone and it was clear the lads were up for the fight. We need to build on this and ensure that our setup remains unpredictable and effective. The late goal conceded was a minor blip, but overall, a very satisfying match.

Welcome to Notts, Lucas Ness
We seem to have struck gold with this signing. Ness’s proven capabilities in League One and his distinguished stint with Charlton Athletic make him a strong addition to our squad. The fact that he can be pivotal in several defensive roles offers great flexibility and depth to our team’s backline. I also commend the strategic thinking of allowing Ness the time he needs to return to full fitness. Ensuring that he is ready and raring to go will help him make an immediate impact on the pitch. Exciting times ahead for Notts; our defence is shaping up very nicely! Welcome to Notts County, Lucas Ness!

Where are they now : Christian Oxlade Chamberlain
He never settled in at all, did he? I don’t know, I wouldn’t be happy being on the bench, and his lack of effort to take the chances that came to him showed he was a poor signing for us.

Jodi Jones: Players Player Of The Year.
Jodi is an incredible player, and it’s great to see him not only smashing the league records but earning awards. He works hard and has proven himself to be a great coup for Notts.

Match Discussion: Game 3 - The Mariners (H)
I think Notts needs to be more mindful when they feel comfortable attacking. We were dominating Fleetwood, and it seemed like a matter of time before Notts took the lead, but Fleetwood showed how good they are as a team. I think Grimsby will be wanting to stop the play as much as they can, so I do think there will be some added minutes. If we can hold them off and protect Alex Bass just a bit more, I think the quality in the team will come through. I think Jodi Jones will be up for this; it would be nice to see him on the score sheet!

Neil Critchley sacked as Blackpool Head Coach.
It’s why most managers shouldn’t go back to their former clubs. It’s a difficult task with Blackpool, but they should be doing much better. They have some decent players and are more than equipped to be at the other end of the table. I’m not so sure about automatics, but certainly near the playoffs. This has been coming since the end of last season.

Vlog: ARLukomski - Late Drama at Meadow Lane as Notts County Rescue a Point
Well done to Notts for such a heroic comeback! Fleetwood definitely had us worried with those early goals, but the team’s resilience really shone through. Jatta’s goal brought life back into the game, and the tension just kept building. The real moment of magic was Jones’ penalty, absolute nerve of steel. Loved how @ARLukomski captured the essence and drama of the game in the vlog. It felt like I was reliving every pivotal moment.

David McGoldrick: Ready and Waiting to Shine at Notts County
David McGoldrick is a seasoned footballer. Even at 36, he stays fit and competes well. Though he doesn’t always get the game time he wants, he stays positive and ready for his chance. He’s taken on a mentor role, showing his versatility. He balances his own goals with helping younger players in the team. McGoldrick offers advice to those who ask, sharing his experience with Notts County’s younger players. His ability to analyse opponents and adapt is a strength for the team this season. His enthusiasm shows he’s not done yet, and fans can expect more from him on the pitch.
