Neil Critchley sacked as Blackpool Head Coach.
It’s why most managers shouldn’t go back to their former clubs. It’s a difficult task with Blackpool, but they should be doing much better. They have some decent players and are more than equipped to be at the other end of the table. I’m not so sure about automatics, but certainly near the playoffs. This has been coming since the end of last season.

Vlog: ARLukomski - Late Drama at Meadow Lane as Notts County Rescue a Point
Well done to Notts for such a heroic comeback! Fleetwood definitely had us worried with those early goals, but the team’s resilience really shone through. Jatta’s goal brought life back into the game, and the tension just kept building. The real moment of magic was Jones’ penalty, absolute nerve of steel. Loved how @ARLukomski captured the essence and drama of the game in the vlog. It felt like I was reliving every pivotal moment.

Charlton Athletic's Lucas Ness Joins Notts County on Three-Year Deal
Welcome to Notts County Lucas Ness! We seem to have struck gold with this signing. Ness’s proven capabilities in League One and his distinguished stint with Charlton Athletic make him a strong addition to our squad. The fact that he can be pivotal in several defensive roles offers great flexibility and depth to our team’s backline. I also commend the strategic thinking of allowing Ness the time he needs to return to full fitness. Ensuring that he is ready and raring to go will help him make an immediate impact on the pitch. Exciting times ahead for Notts, our defence is shapes very up nicely!

David McGoldrick: Ready and Waiting to Shine at Notts County
David McGoldrick is a seasoned footballer. Even at 36, he stays fit and competes well. Though he doesn’t always get the game time he wants, he stays positive and ready for his chance. He’s taken on a mentor role, showing his versatility. He balances his own goals with helping younger players in the team. McGoldrick offers advice to those who ask, sharing his experience with Notts County’s younger players. His ability to analyse opponents and adapt is a strength for the team this season. His enthusiasm shows he’s not done yet, and fans can expect more from him on the pitch.

Match Preview: Notts County Seek First Win Against Grimsby Town
Looking at our recent form, it’s clear that while we have the ability to score, our defence needs tightening. The team has shown a fighting spirit, especially in the comeback against Fleetwood Town. If we can bring that same energy against Grimsby Town, we have a solid chance. Artell’s side has momentum after their EFL Cup win, so they'll be tough opponents. I agree with comments about starting McGoldrick; his presence could be pivotal. Meadow Lane will be buzzing, and I hope the atmosphere propels our lads to our first win. Even a strong draw with a solid performance would set a positive tone for the upcoming fixtures.

Notts Alumni: Jeff Astle
Jeff Astle will always be remembered for his incredible football talent and his dedication to Notts and West Brom. His goal-scoring ability was second to none, and his versatility on the pitch made him a key player for any team. The story of his winning goal in the 1966 League Cup Final is something every fan should know. It’s heartbreaking to think about the toll football took on his health, but his legacy as a player remains truly inspiring.

Stuart Maynard Praises Defensive Display as Notts County Draw with Tranmere
I was really impressed with how the team controlled the game, especially in the second half. Stuart Maynard’s tactical changes seemed to be spot on, and the defensive unit was rock solid. Conor Grant’s debut was particularly noteworthy given he hadn’t had time to train with the squad. His impact on the midfield was immense. We might have been a bit light upfront, but it’s only the first game of the season. A lot to be optimistic about!

Fake Football Merchandise.
They are doing exactly what the F.A. said about England and the Euros. There are some very good fake shirts that look exactly the same. You wouldn’t know without scanning the barcode. The way shirts circulate these days, they could end up in the hands of someone who doesn’t know. It’s silly. If people can’t afford the real thing, why punish the buyer? Sheffield Wednesday should go after the manufacturer and seller only.

Aaron Nemane to MK Dons, Conor Grant to Notts.
Grant’s ability to operate in different roles in midfield should give us some much-needed versatility. He seems to be a very capable and good player. I’m particularly excited to see how he settles in and starts influencing games, especially with that creative spark he mentions. Here’s hoping for a successful season with Conor playing a big part!

Match Preview: Tranmere Rovers and Notts County Gear Up for Exciting Season Start
Notts County have shown real intent with our signings this season, and I believe this match against Tranmere will be a great test of where we stand. Jatta’s pre-season form has been brilliant, and if he can continue that, we might just have the edge in attack. Prenton Park is never an easy place to go, but if we maintain our focus and play the fast, attacking football we’re known for, there’s no reason we can’t come away with a win. It’ll be interesting to see how our new signings fit into the system and if we can hit the ground running.

Match Discussion: Game 1 - Super White Army (A)
It seems the pre-season has made some fans less optimistic, but we did well against Tranmere last season and our squad hasn’t changed all that much. I don’t think losing Macaulay Langstaff should put a dampener on things. Once the season gets underway, hopefully that and the Maynard out brigade will be silenced. I think Notts will win against Tranmere 2-0.

Congratulations Jim O'Brien
I am pleased for Jim O’Brien. I always felt he would make a great coach, and now he’s working with Sheffield United’s youth setup as their head coach. It’s a big opportunity for him.

Chris & Alex Reedtz: Five Years In Charge
It’s wonderful to see Notts being run so well. I do wish the club could retain some of the staff that make a difference. There have been departures which affect the community, but the brothers can’t help with that. Football tends to be a natural step forward, and the long-term staff that are here do help to make things efficient. I am pleased with the owners; I couldn’t ask for more from them.

Away kits revealed
I can take or leave them both. I do think they might grow on me over the course of the season. I agree, the purple kit is a lot nicer. It’s similar to the home shirt in some ways, and the higher stripes look much better. I wish the home shirt had stripes that went up a bit further.

Who Will Get The Notts Number 9 Shirt?
I believe Notts will recruit another forward. I have no objections to Cedwyn Scott or Junior Morias, but it seems Scott is preferred to play in a supporting striker role. Morias has appeared decent, but we haven’t seen him given a consistent run to fully comprehend his contribution. The club will probably take their time to find the appropriate successor for Macaulay Langstaff, who, in my opinion, is more likely to be assigned the number 9 shirt. Alternatively, the shirt might go to Alassana Jatta, but I personally think he will be given a different number. I understand your point, but considering our lack of experienced strikers at this level, I believe the club will seek a long-term replacement. Morias should receive more playing time, but I think Jatta is the likely candidate from the current squad to play more. With Scott being favoured in a different role, it indicates that we need a bit more depth.

Some of the Notts fan base
I'm concerned that those individuals who only desire to witness football victories and don't support the club during crucial times are a distinct group. Human behavior is evolving, as are the kinds of fans that teams like Notts County attract. While there may be some disheartened fans who have been with Notts since the '60s and beyond, many newer supporters haven't experienced success, and their genuine frustration often stems from unrealistic expectations. Success isn't guaranteed; it must be earned, and unfortunately, we've fallen short in this regard. I hear amusing comments at games, and while I question some fans' faith, I understand that football is a diverse sport, and success is only partially measured by winning games.

New appointments for Notts County Women & Girls.
There isn't much news about the Women's team, so this will be insightful and helpful. I'm glad to read about their additions; climbing the leagues is their goal, and bringing in staff to assist with that sounds promising.

Maynard it is
Success in football isn't guaranteed; it's largely a matter of faith and hard work. Stuart Maynard is a fantastic appointment, and his record speaks for itself. While I understand there may be doubts, replicating his previous success here will be a challenge. Just keep in mind the talent and quality we already have at his disposal. Alongside the opportunity to bring in a few more faces, everything is looking promising.

Notts County’s Future Under New Head Coach Stuart Maynard
I appreciate that our owners aren't rushing to hire a manager, even during the season, and they are not afraid to hire someone who is already at a club. While an unemployed manager doesn't mean failure or being unwanted, it's refreshing to be the club that is forward-thinking enough to give someone a chance to showcase their ability. It's not just down to Stuart Maynard but also his assistants, as well as ourselves as fans.

New manager
Just a presser today, I think the board is talking to managers and will appoint one on Saturday or shortly thereafter. We may know who it could be if any are present at the game, but I am not expecting Neil Warnock. I'm not against that, I just feel it's a rumour started to stir up things. At this stage I wouldn't bet on anyone, at least not as a sure thing.

Future Prospects: Recruitment, Defensive Fixes, and Trust in Luke Williams
You would expect a professional team to do their homework, and by this I mean know, going into games, how they can punish us. Most, if not all, of the goals we give away come from trying to pass when very few options exist going forward. We play ourselves into tight angles and just pass back. Luke could do with getting us to be a bit more fluid and instruct the players to shake off their marker because there's not enough movement in the middle of the pitch. It's very easy to blame defenders and the keeper, but most defenders are known for their passing ability. We need to cut out going back and just make space to take the ball a few yards more forward. John Bostock had the ability to distribute the ball to either side, while everyone can link with each other. It would take the pressure largely off the defenders because currently it's like a wave when the shore's coming in. It's never-ending, and this leads to errors, poor judgment, and bad defensive decisions.

I’m Not Fond of It, But I See the Reasoning
I agree, it's a poor showing on the club's part and it can't be explained by anything else other than the fact that we have lost games. It becomes even more disappointing when we win, to see the player interviews encouraged, especially after having had silence. We are in this together, and the club shouldn't fail to deliver post-match reactions after losing as it gives a sense of accountability. I understand why Notts doesn't interview players after every defeat, but they shouldn't overlook defeats as a chance for the player being interviewed to give an honest response as to what happened.
