  1. The environment that the Reedtz brothers, Jason Turner, and all the managers during this period have helped create is crucial. A good working environment does help, as will promotion now. I’m not taking anything away from the players. Tobi is a class guy, but I think my original point is the base for all this. Footballers need it to enjoy their football, as does our support help. It’s all very positive and I like how Luke Williams is the figurehead that they look up to.
  2. I didn’t think it was all that funny. I thought it was a publicity stunt or a disgruntled former player. I very much dislike seeing people going to the extreme. As the poster above said, this could be handled with the police and if that doesn’t get anywhere, go to the media. Don’t turn a football pitch into Wacky Races by throwing flyers straight onto the pitch’s surface. If it’s harassment, it will be dealt with. If it’s more, then a journalist will probably take it upon themselves to find out the truth.
  3. Before my time, I remember him doing some punditry but nonetheless it's sad news. Rest in peace.
  4. I would take Jesse Debrah as he is a quality player that would fit in well with us. However, the reason why I don't think he would sign for Notts is that we might not be able to promise him the wages and game time he desires. He will want regular football and I don't think he would be happy sitting on the bench, as he seems to be the type of player that wants to be involved. Connell Rawlinson has shown promise and his experience is still useful. Richard Brindley is another remaining option. It seems unlikely to me that Jesse Debrah will sign for us.
  5. Hello, @JustLikeJuve. I hope we sing this plenty of times home and away now that we are in League Two again! Welcome to PON.
  6. Jorge Grant and Jaydan Richardson.
  7. Welcome to PON, @MagpieRob.
  8. Welcome to PON, @Paul Manterfield.
  9. It will be fantastic to watch a large team like Stoke City at Meadow Lane. I believe Luke Williams will continue to rotate the players, but I anticipate that a stronger squad will start the match, with opportunities for youngsters and other players to come on later.
  10. I bet he’s getting counselling for this serious event! What comes to mind is, don’t dish it out if you can’t take it back. His stories are probably true, but we would have had our own problems with them lot.
  11. @rohan welcome to PON. ????
  12. At the moment I'm waiting to see how it does, I use Facebook and Instagram. I don't like Twitter, the vocal people are always clowns from the looks of it.
  13. Macaulay is a class act, this might be a fantastic season!
  14. The transition from the National Youth Alliance to back in the EFL is tremendous progress. Exciting times ahead for the academy and the young talents it harbours.
  15. @Joshua Barnes I agree with most of your points about Notts County's opening matches. The games against Sutton United and Grimsby Town should serve as a litmus test for the team's preparedness and resolve. The first home game - a local derby - can be a morale booster if we secure a win.
  16. Langstaff perfecting his goals early in the pre-season is sure to be a confidence booster for him and the rest of the team. Looking forward to seeing more from him.
  17. I hope this shared moment serves as a turning point for Jodi Jones, helping to uplift and motivate him through the rest of his recovery.
  18. Honestly, it seems like a strange signing for us. He arrived injured, only made one brief appearance. He went off in the close season, comes back and he's carrying a slight knock again. We already had loads of options in attack, who could've been better signings and while Morias is talented, I can't see him getting much game time. Might be loaned out eventually.
  19. While Dallas may not have been at his best during his stints at Weymouth and Solihull Moors, the move to Chesterfield seemed to catalyse a transformation. If Gillingham can offer an atmosphere and management that's conducive to Dallas's style, this move might not be that much of a gamble.
  20. Isn't the hype around celebrities a reflection of our own fascination with fame and fortune? Well, maybe not us but most people in general.
  21. Been a part of the Notts family for years and the recent growth has been so amazing to witness. Looking forward to the new season with everyone!
  22. Great discussion here. Not certain Oldham can maintain title race form though, but Boreham is a wild card. Definitely a team to watch this season.
  23. It's encouraging to see the confidence in Notts securing one of the three automatic promotion spots. I share this optimism, yet also echo the sentiment that relying on playoffs could be a gamble, one that might not pay off. Therefore, a solid strategy from the get-go should be to aim for the top spots.
  24. The rich array of talent in our game should always be recognised and appreciated in equal measure. With regards to Doyle leaving for FGR, Coventry could have been a good move I suggest, this could have been a possible step too. However, his decision to go to Portsmouth should be interesting to observe.
  25. Isn't it great to see moments in the sport where teams come together for a cause? Stoke City has uplifted this spirit by their act of generosity. It illuminates the very essence of sportsmanship and camaraderie, proving that football is not just a battlefield, but a platform for solidarity too. In my eyes, this isn't only about charity; it's a signal about the sense of community engrained within the football culture, which is often overlooked. Stoke's act is a shining example of compassion and humanity, reminding us that sporting competition also has a heart.
