  1. While I bear no ill will towards them, I must admit that I hold a strong dislike for the club. The chairman's attitudes and positions on various matters epitomize everything that is problematic in football. Vince's attempts to impose his dietary preferences, personal beliefs, and pet projects are far from commendable. Excuse the use of puns, but I sincerely hope that we overpower and defeat them convincingly. A resounding victory would undoubtedly bring me a sense of joy. However, I acknowledge that it is likely to be a closely contested match with a narrow scoreline.
  2. We possess a considerable amount of quality from which young players can derive valuable lessons, even in the absence of explicitly labelled "experienced" players. Individuals like Dan Crowley, Matt Palmer, and Kyle Cameron all have important roles to fulfill in assisting young players in integrating into the team. Engaging in matches with and against superior players consistently yields improvement, complemented by unwavering focus and determination.
  3. Am I being blind? Where is Big Sam or Howard Wilkinson? Surely they had decent win ratios.
  4. Hello, @Morten Johansen. Welcome to PON. Do you happen to be part of the Notts Scandinavian Supporters?
  5. The performance was excellent, and the 2-0 victory seemed quite ordinary, while the clean sheet was well deserved. Salford's performance was very lackluster, although they did manage to create a few challenging opportunities.
  6. The weather was uncomfortably warm, even when standing in the shade. Despite this, the stadium and game were enjoyable. I can see why both teams did not put their all into the match, as the heat was too much to handle. However, the second half of the game was undoubtedly more entertaining. I was particularly impressed by the captain, Kyle Cameron, whose spectacular goal was a highlight of the match. It was a great moment of skill that drew cheers from the crowd. Overall, despite the oppressive heat, it was a memorable match that showcased some impressive football.
  7. It's my belief that fans often live in the present and don't consider events beyond what has recently occurred. While it's uncertain whether some fans are too critical, it is a possibility. Generally speaking, I find that fans frequently undermine the joyous moments by continuously fixating on the negatives, like a broken record. I personally find these types of fans to be dull and excessively serious. Football is a game filled with passion, but we must remember that the players on the field are human beings who shouldn't be subjected to the incessant complaints of such individuals.
  8. Itโ€™s going to be a good game, but knowing how things are when you look forward to something, it wonโ€™t be. Notts just has to work the ball well, chances will come. Iโ€™m not worried that chances will be few and far between, but I fully expect Accrington to attempt to make it hard. We need Jodi Jones to be at his best!
  9. The team's progress and dedication are evident. Luke's interview gives a promising outlook for future matches. Keep up the good work, Notts!
  10. I find it enjoyable when teams try to give it their best shot. Last season, some teams made it harder for themselves, which is why I prefer League Two. We need to be aware of players like Connor Jennings and Kristian Dennis, who are likely to cause problems. Their wider players are also a concern.
  11. Langstaff lit up the game - two goals, pure brilliance! Jones, you beauty! Well played.
  12. Chicksen put the ball away very tidy, deemed offside. It looked fine to me, I need to see the highlights. 3-0, but should be 4 for us I think.
  13. The environment that the Reedtz brothers, Jason Turner, and all the managers during this period have helped create is crucial. A good working environment does help, as will promotion now. Iโ€™m not taking anything away from the players. Tobi is a class guy, but I think my original point is the base for all this. Footballers need it to enjoy their football, as does our support help. Itโ€™s all very positive and I like how Luke Williams is the figurehead that they look up to.
  14. It will be fantastic to watch a large team like Stoke City at Meadow Lane. I believe Luke Williams will continue to rotate the players, but I anticipate that a stronger squad will start the match, with opportunities for youngsters and other players to come on later.
  15. Macaulay is a class act, this might be a fantastic season!
  16. The transition from the National Youth Alliance to back in the EFL is tremendous progress. Exciting times ahead for the academy and the young talents it harbours.
  17. @Joshua Barnes I agree with most of your points about Notts County's opening matches. The games against Sutton United and Grimsby Town should serve as a litmus test for the team's preparedness and resolve. The first home game - a local derby - can be a morale booster if we secure a win.
  18. Langstaff perfecting his goals early in the pre-season is sure to be a confidence booster for him and the rest of the team. Looking forward to seeing more from him.
  19. I'm quite encouraged by Luke Williams enthusiasm and positive tone. Pre-season is a crucial time for gelling the squad and creating a unified fighting spirit.
  20. I joined PON when I was 13. I remember introducing myself and being greeted by @ARLukomski, whose YouTube channel I watch. Iโ€™m not sure why I stopped posting. It might have been due to having other things going on in my life, but I have read every newsletter sent out. I decided to log back in and now that Iโ€™m older, I feel I have missed it. I bet nobody remembers me, but itโ€™s good to be back. ????
  21. I am always thankful for the happiness of friends and family that pays forward onto me. Lifeโ€™s too short, so being kind goes a long way.
  22. It's been an amazing journey with the Reedtz brothers at the helm. They've transformed Notts County, and it's incredible to think about where we were compared to where we are now.
  23. I think they should have lowered them quite a bit, I don't see many adults taking it up and my family are on about not renewing but paying on the day.
  24. Only a win will do, I think the pressure will be too much and a 2-2 draw seems to be what I would go for.
  25. I think Notts will lose and that it will become unbearable on social media. If a poor performance happens or the club loses, we need to stay determined that relegation can be fought off.
