Everyone else has expressed positive opinions on this deal. I can’t add much to it, but I think it’s a solid addition. He’s a player of the right age, mould and ability.

Cal Roberts joins Scunthorpe United
I am bit surprised myself, but really, his days in Scotland seemed to be limited due to injury. Cal Roberts will be able to help Scunthorpe out far more.

Jim O’Brien praises Notts County’s new signings
I started working on a JODI display picture, but I’m happy sticking with JIMBO. I don’t think Jim gets the praise he deserves; he’s always the one giving it out.

David McGoldrick: "I've learned that money doesn't bring happiness"
McGoldrick’s decision to join Notts County is a sign that the club is heading in the right direction under Luke Williams. Compared to previous seasons when we were in League Two, things seem different.

David McGoldrick Signs Two-Year Contract with Boyhood Club Notts County
I am pleased with the signing of McGoldrick. He brings a wealth of experience, quality and passion to the team. I believe he will make a significant impact for us this season and help us achieve our goals. His addition to the squad is a positive development and I am looking forward to seeing him in action.

Jodi Jones: A New Hope for Notts County
I think Jodi Jones would be playing with Coventry if it were not for his problems in the injury department; they must have found it difficult to release him. Oxford United might not fit his playing style; you have to be a good ball-playing team to get the most out of someone like Jodi. He is one of those players who puts their soul into playing, especially when fans sing his name. He has a very good talent and will be someone we need to protect and use well when adapting to League Two.

Notts County announce full pre-season fixtures ahead of League Two campaign
I am not bothered about how the results go; I will be firmly focused on how we perform and even then it’s about getting fitness. It would be a positive thing if Notts can gain some confidence from these games and our promotion; it could be off to the races.

The analysts bar.... #Notts defence is not as effective as it seems
We still need to cut out the errors, such as failing to defend a lead or dominating a game, to be pegged back by a goal before we even score. The high press is more a means to control the game, the defenders need to stay switched on. I think we leave too few back, the system of an extra body in midfield is fine but on the counter or against set pieces it will be exposed unless you have 3 alert centre backs.

Where are they now : Kwame Thomas
He wasn't anything special but tried, it was one of those desperate gamble loans typical of that era's owners. Derby must have been laughing when we took him on loan.
-
Connell Rawlinson: "My heart will always be with Notts County"
I'm happythat Connell Rawlinson has decided to commit to the club for another two seasons. It's brilliant news for Luke Williams as it adds valuable depth to our roster. Not to mention, we've got the versatile Richard Brindley, who can cover in the centre-back department when needed. It looks like our squad is really taking shape as we move forward. Fingers crossed those other offers get signed swiftly so we can bolster the team with a few fresh faces. Exciting times ahead, indeed!

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
Did he spend much time at Notts? I believe I may have several ideas, but I would like to narrow it down.

Where have they gone? Missing PON members we need back!
I am confident that there are members whose posts I have read, but they have ceased sharing; however, I am unable to remember anyone specifically at the moment. I sincerely hope more individuals return and actively participate.

Jodi Jones signs
This is a massive statement of intent from Notts County. Jodi Jones is a top talent who can take us to the next level. He’s got a lot of pace and skill and he can unlock any defence with his passes and dribbles. He was sensational during his loan spell and I’m ecstatic that he’s staying with us for longer. His ability to create chances and score goals will be invaluable to the team as we push for promotion. The club has shown great ambition in securing his signature and I can’t wait to see him in action again.

Can we do a Luton?
It’s not impossible to imagine Notts achieving back-to-back promotions. The question is, how will the club cope and manage life in League One? It’s a much tougher league and we would likely need to bring in many more reinforcements if we were to push for the Championship. League One could be where we start to sell players for higher fees than we paid for them. This would allow the club to spend money, but it comes at the cost of establishing a settled squad. I’m not sure if Notts can replicate Luton’s achievement. We have moved between divisions and I’m uncertain if I would prefer to see us build steadily like Brentford, Bournemouth, Watford and other clubs have done.

Aaron Nemane
I thought Aaron Nemane had a superb game against Chesterfield. The way he dinked the ball past their players and still managed to beat them was magical to see. I wish Adam Chicksen had played his more direct game, but something seems to be going on with him. Perhaps it’s a lack of confidence or just fatigue from the long season he’s played. Nonetheless, keeping Nemane must be a top priority for Notts. We need his pace out wide in League Two.

Match Discussion: Play Off Final - The Spireites
Promotion is more important than performance, but Notts didn’t put in a terrible display. A lot of it can be attributed to nerves and not adjusting quickly enough to Chesterfield’s fast attacks. They pushed Notts and the defenders couldn’t find much space. Good teams in League Two will find ways to close us down, so it’s clear that we need to focus on this area. I thought Archie Mair’s saves were superb for a young keeper. He kept his cool and did remarkably well. Seeing the celebrations unfold on the pitch brought back happy memories of the 90s. It was great to see the players finally relax and laugh it off.

The Notable Players of Notts County: Who's the Greatest to Ever Don the Black and White?
Over the years, Notts County has been home to some truly great players, such as Phil Turner, Mark Stallard, and Ben Davies. Jim O’Brien is another player who deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as these legends. However, when it comes to pure talent and class on the field, I believe that Lee Hughes stands out as one of the best strikers Notts has ever had. He remains one of my all-time favorite players.
