The disappointment of the last week of the season can be traced back to the departure of Dan Crowley.....not replacing him with a similar player was almost criminal.....and still a replacement isn't in the building.....its hopefully being sorted ASAP.....plus a tough tackling robust midfielder as well....there's only 3 weeks to go until preseason is due to start!!!!!...hopefully this week we'll see quite a bit of transfer activity and a new Head Coach appointed....

It’s that time of year again, with no actual football to be discussed something has to fill all the sports websites... But don’t fret you can keep tabs and discuss all the latest Notts rumours (*that are usually wrong) here.
So far we’ve had; McGoldrick to MK? Jatta to Bolton? And now Matthew Dennis to Notts?

Matthew Dennis is on his way to Meadow Lane, with the Magpies fending off competition from League One and Two clubsPictured in a MK Dons kit as well....seems like a wind up to me!!!!!

It's the right decision in my opinion. As I have said previously, Stuart did improve the team from last season. He improved the Notts defence & that clearly shows up in the season's stats.
But I didn't feel that he could take Notts to the next level, but I do wish him well, & I'm sure it won't be long before he is back in Football in some capacity.
This decision clearly shows that the owners have intent in getting promoted as soon as possible. I do hope that they will appoint an experienced league 2 Head Coach who has a good record at this level.
I also hope that the new person in charge will be allowed to play different styles of play rather than having to play 100% possession based football all the time.
I'm also pleased that the decision has been made quickly so that the new person in charge can get to know the players & have input into the types of new players he wants.
The new Italian man will be in charge of any new incomings the procedure won't be changing anytime soon

@Robbie I’m not at all surprised that the owners are going to stick with Maynard, they don’t do knee jerk reaction or listen to keyboard warriors on social media, Maynard said in a recent interview that new coaching staff would be added during the close season and that the reason they didn’t during this season was because they didn’t want to disrupt things, so they stuck with the people the players know.
Perhaps Maynard was forecasting his own downfall!!!! Perhaps a whole new set of coaching staff are on the horizon!!!!

I think that sets the bar. If we're not offering Sam Austin a deal of any kind, I expect to see some real quality coming through the doors this summer. And one or two of the contracted players moving on a well.
There seem to be a lot of academy players offered pro contracts too, I hope that's more than a numbers game. I am very impressed with Harrison Hazard, though, he's been excellent whenever I've seen him play.
Unusual surname.....ex Chelsea player Mickey Hazards son perhaps???

The excitement is building. 72 hours to go. Can Notts get a positive result & give themselves a chance for the second leg? I think they can, but they will have to be at their best.
I am very encouraged by Notts away record this season. I think that if Notts can get a narrow win on Saturday or even a draw, I think Wimbledon will be very weary of Notts at their place.
Having the first leg at home can work in Notts favour because Wimbledon will want to dominate the play in the 2nd leg & that may give Notts more room up front, to hit Wimbledon on the break.
I'm pleased that Austin is back & I hope he is fit enough to start the match because before his injury he was playing so well. I'd also like to see Jarvis in the starting eleven, because I think he's better defensively than Jones.
My first eleven would be
Bass, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Austin, Abbott, Palmer, Jarvis, Grant, Jatta, McGoldrick.
Subs.
Miller, Whittaker, Edwards, McDonald, Hinchy, Gordon, Jones
Prefer J Jones for Grant....Let's go for it straight from the Kick-off....Lets hope Sam Austin is fit enough to start...
