I don't know if Luke Williams will get the same level of performance, but I do wish from a defensive point of view that we don't gift any goals. We need to make it harder, make teams work to score, but I do see the game being open. A draw is probably a fair call at this stage.

Notts put on a good team display, and Jodi is right about the importance of the win. The atmosphere at Meadow Lane was very good; even the Derek Pavis stand, where I was sitting, joined in. It’s very much like Notts to play in a manner that makes them the underdogs in games, and I don’t really mind that, as long as it’s not too much of a setback. At 2-1, I thought it was over, but thankfully Jodi Jones showed his class with those two crosses.

I must confess, as much as the drama increases the adrenaline, it'd be a relief to see a thorough, calculated win without giving the fans mini heart attacks. I hope Williams holds steadfast on his aim to reduce that. In addition, the controlled aggression during those first and second balls could be a game changer for the team if we can maintain that intensity across the game. Who else felt the ground shaking from the support? Absolutely wonderful to be a part of the roaring crowd.

Notts showed great character to come back from behind twice and claim all three points in a thrilling match at Meadow Lane. It's never easy to come back from behind, let alone twice in one match, but Notts County showed great resilience and determination to do just that.

Notts seems more than ready for the upcoming season. The comments by team’s captain, Kyle Cameron, suggest that they are approaching the season with not just a lot of optimism but also with a realistic understanding of the challenges they'll face in the League Two. I see this as a great combination reflecting both their dreams and their conscientious preparation. However, not everything may follow the script. So, it’s essential to keep the morale high even if we face any hiccups on the journey. I fully back the team to rise to the occasion and make us, the fans, proud.

The game wasn’t bad by any stretch of the imagination. I think Notts worked the ball well and looked quite good on the ball. I wish Cedwyn Scott had a bit better service to him, but Shrewsbury defended well. They looked just as inconsistent as us in other areas, but I do think Notts looked the better team. A draw was a fair result in my opinion.

Very impressed by the in-depth introspection Williams has done for the team's preparation. Fatigue injuries might seem minor right now, but they could escalate if not reined in timely, shedding light on this issue is definitely the right move. Will Randall's repeated injuries could be a trend we don't want often, here's hoping the medical team figures it out soon. In addition to physical preparation, Williams' focus on strong player relationships and maintaining a supportive environment is equally noteworthy. This holistic strategy for mentoring the team and fostering a team spirit screams of a well-rounded approach to management. I'm keenly awaiting our boys to represent Notts in League Two.

The performance of Notts was one of determination, but I wouldn’t criticise Alfreton too much. We are two levels above them and played direct football against the best of the National League, which other teams in the same league struggled with. Alfreton have made a fair few signings, so I would take more note of how Notts played.
