Conor Grant Eager to Make an Impact at Notts County After Signing From MK Dons
It’s good to have him on board. I think there’s nothing wrong with the number of midfielders we now have. Conor Grant looked sharp when he came on against Tranmere, and I am keen to see more of him. Considering Aaron Nemane left for a fee, it’s pretty much a win-win for Notts.

Match Preview: Tranmere Rovers and Notts County Gear Up for Exciting Season Start
I’m feeling really optimistic about our chances this season, and this match against Tranmere could be the perfect way to kick things off. With the likes of Jatta, Scott, Jones and Crowley in our ranks, we’ve got the firepower to really cause problems for their defence. I think it’ll be important for us to get on the front foot early and put them under pressure from the start. Last season, our away form was a bit shaky, but if we can improve on that and get a result at Prenton Park, it’ll be a huge confidence boost. I’m backing us to come away with all three points!

Stuart Maynard Confident Ahead of Notts County's Season Opener Against Tranmere Rovers
Maynard’s cautious optimism is quite refreshing. It's clear that the team’s focus on defensive improvements is paying off, especially with the stat about conceding only one goal post-60 minutes in pre-season. It’s also great to see new signings, particularly defenders, strengthening the squad. Cedwyn Scott wearing the number nine shirt is fantastic news; his potential as a clean finisher could really make a difference this season. The fact that the team has been scouting Tranmere and is almost set with their starting eleven shows their meticulous preparation. Altogether, this gives me a lot of hope for the season opener and beyond. Can't wait to see the team in action!

Macaulay Langstaff Watch.
I believe they will gradually bring him into the team. He received a warm welcome and a lot of attention, suggesting that he was signed with the intention of becoming their new star striker. I wish him all the best. It would be great if he could come on as a substitute and score against Forest.

Notts Academy Is There Any Point?
At some point, Notts will need to give their promising young players more game time. The risk is relatively low, as mistakes are expected and it’s the only real way to determine if they will ever be good enough. I’m disappointed that there doesn’t seem to be any solid plans focusing on this aspect of our development. It’s also frustrating to see promising young players being released or sold, but that’s always going to be part of Notts.

The Notts County Squad 2024/25
I imagine the club would be looking to sign some of the trialists we’ve had, while also hoping for more activity from other clubs in the same situation. Notts might also be watching to see if any team’s signings make an existing player more accessible. There are still positions and depth that need to be filled, and the departure of players has created room for improvements to the overall squad. I think that’s why we’ve seen some players released by mutual consent.

Nottingham on Foot
There are many great places to walk, especially outside of Nottingham. Leicestershire has some wonderful walking routes, as does the Peak District. Derbyshire also has some charming small towns with good walkways for those who enjoy getting out and about.

Macaulay Langstaff’s Transfer Fee: How Can Notts County Maximise Its Impact?
I think some of the money will have been used to offload some of the less effective players, allowing the club to reach mutual agreements with them. It would be nice to see some modest fees paid for areas on the pitch that need attention. Whether that’s a striker to replace Macaulay Langstaff or a defensive midfielder, I would welcome it. The chances are that a better player could be found rather than a player without a team. I’ve heard that Notts are training away from Forest’s setup, but I think temporary agreements to use facilities would work. A permanent training ground would be a nice addition once we’re an established League One team.

Where are they now : John Bostock
He’s a very good professional role model. I was sad to see him go, but now I believe it’s for the best. He’ll find a club. His wages might be a sticking point for some teams, but someone will sign him. He’s too good to retire right now; he still has something to offer.

The future of my YouTube channel
I feel your struggle, @ARLukomski. Your post really highlights the toll this is taking on your mental health. It's a big decision to make, especially when it's something you've been dedicated to for so long. What stands out in your videos is your genuine love for Notts, and that's a big part of why people watch. Maybe taking a small break first could help clear your head? It could give you a new perspective on whether this is something you want to continue. Remember, it's not quitting, it's taking care of yourself. And in the end, you'll know if you really want to carry on or if it's time for a new chapter.

Eat your veg!
Are there any vegetables that you’ve had to eat in the past that you didn’t care for? Or perhaps ones that you’ve never taken a liking to? My grandchildren aren’t fans of rhubarb and many other vegetables, such as cauliflower, peas, radishes, Brussels sprouts, and so on. These are all things that you wouldn’t hesitate to eat when hunger strikes, as was the case in my younger days. I’m aware that rhubarb is more commonly used in culinary dishes nowadays, such as crumbles and simply served with custard. However, I still enjoy it occasionally with roasted duck, not just in desserts.

Has multiple substitutions changed Football?
With larger squads, more frequent games, and players with potential health conditions, I believe the current system is fine. However, before long, you might be able to substitute your entire squad. It should be kept to a reasonable limit, but I fully support the current setup.

Remembering the Original Meadow Lane Stand: On This Day
I recall the sounds the old stands would make, particularly in windy or rainy conditions. The fans were packed tightly, which helped with warmth, but the lack of toilets could make it a bit unpleasant on warm days when fans would retreat to the back of the stands. I was quite fond of the earlier version of Meadow Lane, such a striking and iconic ground. Derek Pavis did well by not straying too far from it.

Three Leopards II
Yes, England’s logo used to feature a crown, and the shirts were more akin to rugby shirts. A modern logo with the crown arching over ‘England’ and the ‘Three Lions’ would be quite appealing.

The Great Wheelbarrow Wobble
The old one’s rusted and fallen apart. I could replace the wheel, but the barrow wouldn’t move with it. I’ve bought a new one from B&Q. This time, I’ll make sure it’s not exposed to the weather and is covered when not in use. The last one I had, well, it’s been with me longer than my eldest grandchild has been alive.

Tony Hackworth
I do remember him, but not much about what he achieved at Notts. I recall thinking that the money spent was a waste. Leeds United must have been pleased with the deal, but sadly, the funds could have been used more wisely.

Derby County bidder jailed for fraud
That was a close call. People often criticise the fit and proper process, but wouldn’t he have been caught out by it?
-
Alex Kirk .....RCB?
It would be sensible to consider this player. He could provide more options and might be willing to compete for his spot in the team, which is exactly what we need. Given that the club has several left-footed defenders, a right-footed one would be a good addition.

Can England Get To The Euro 24 Final?
The question seems a bit pointless now. I’m delighted to see England make it to another successful final.

Will Randall departs
His stint at Notts doesn’t seem to have done much for his career. If he was happy warming the bench, it suggests a lack of ambition and determination. Notts needs the exact opposite, players who are at the top of their game. While I wish him well, I’m glad he’s moved on.

The Great Wheelbarrow Wobble
Lately, I’ve been dedicating time at the allotment to cultivate a variety of vegetables. Previously, my attention was more on plants and flowers, but I’ve shifted towards creating a more eco-friendly home. I’ve planted potatoes, carrots, beetroot, tomatoes, and rhubarb. Recently, I harvested some of my produce. I decided to use an old wheelbarrow to transport the ripe vegetables. However, just as I was about 10 feet from my car, the wheel came off the barrow. Now, I find myself in need of someone who can repair my wheelbarrow. @Wheelbarrow repair man.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Reds (A)
Our first look at the team could potentially reveal other areas that need strengthening. Assuming we can avoid injuries and improve our fitness levels in time for the start of the new season.
