  1. Let's be honest, if you don't beat Carlisle at home, you don't deserve to be promoted. Shots fired 3-1 to Notts.
  2. That game at Bromley in September was incredible. 2 down after 6 minutes and Notts end up winning 4-2. Bromley are doing well in their first season in League 2. A mid table finish is likely. You'd expect a home win and I think it will be a home win.
  3. Notts were excellent. Accrington were awful but a lot of that was down to Notts not allowing them to settle. Accrington are relegation candidates and are one of those clubs that if they do get relegated, they won't be back for a while.
  4. Accrington Stanley had a grand day out at Liverpool last week. I thought they played quite well. They certainly weren't overawed. They are unbeaten in their last 2 in the league. They are now 5 points clear of the relegation zone. It's been an interesting week at Notts. Time to park that now and get on with the push for promotion. This won't be an easy game but I think Notts will secure all 3 points and we can collectively say Dan who?
  5. Grimsby are unpredictable and that makes them dangerous. They beat Port Vale 3-0 but then lost to Accrington and Bradford, conceding 3 goals in both games. They are the only side in the top 12 with a minus goal difference. They don't do draws. 1 draw in 25 games must be some sort of record. I think Notts will come away with all 3 points. There will be goals. 3-2 to Notts.
  6. League One is a difficult league to compete in. There are big teams with big budgets but it is possible to be competitive and not break the bank. I think Notts would only need 3 or 4 additions to be a mid table side. I think the brothers have bigger ambitions so it would be a fun ride!
  7. I think he got a league winners medal despite being recalled in August. He deserved one after being a big part of their success. He'll score goals in League Two.
  8. All the best to Cedwyn and thank you. Thank you for helping us out of the pit of despair and back to where we belong. That image of the ball hitting the net will stay with me forever. I'm smiling now.......
  9. A 90 minute performance and 3 points. Happy with that.
  10. Swindon are unbeaten in their last 4. They drew away at Wimbledon and Bromley. They have beaten Grimsby and Colchester. That's fairly impressive given the mess they were in before Ian Holloway came in. We should be beating Swindon at home. We need to stay within touching distance of 2nd place.
  11. I think Walsall won the league today. We should have buried them by half time. We didn't and you kind of knew what was going to happen in the 2nd half.
  12. Walsall are the most consistent side in the division. Their results speak for themselves. They don't get the respect they deserve and they are fine with that I think. They keep doing their thing. It has the makings of a classic. The 2 best sides in the division. Home advantage could swing it in our favour. A point would be acceptable.
  13. That was a proper game of festive football. Now we turn our attention to Walsall. Can't wait.....
  14. Great win. Not just the 3 points but a fantastic performance as well.
  15. This came around quickly. I think Christmas speeds up the older you get. Anyway this is one of the toughest away fixtures in the division. The Fake Dons are a blight on football and I hope we crush them. Not very Christmas like but I know Jesus understands ????
  16. A badly needed 3 points. The next 2 are away before we face Walsall at home so we needed a win to take momentum into the Fake Dons game. 3 points is a nice Christmas present as well.
  17. There isn't a better time to play us and now is about as good a time to play Bradford. Notts are bound to improve. I mean it can't get much worse. I think we'll bounce back tomorrow.
  18. Where to start? There's no point in sacking SM. The owners want to play a certain way and that won't change under a new manager. The style of play favoured by the owners is not suitable in League Two unless you bring in players of a League One standard. That won't happen. We were shocking today. Rubbish. Hopefully the improvement starts now.
  19. If Brown starts, it will be effectively be 11 vs 10. I think SM knows this so he won't start hopefully. Salford are hit and miss. They are nothing special but are capable of a decent performance. They are the very definition of mid table team. I think we will win this 1-0. A badly needed 3 points for sure.
  20. I think Colchester will be thinking that there won't be a better time to play us. They haven't conceded a goal in their last 3 games. They are better than their league position suggests. Abbott and Platt being available is a huge boost. We need a win. I'll go for a cagey 1-0 win.
  21. Injuries are killing us which means individual errors need to be kept to a minimum. That didn't happen last night. Walsall are an effective side. I don't like the way some Notts fans dismissed them. They are above us in the table for a reason. You have to earn every point in this division and Walsall fight for 90+ minutes. They have more of a chance of going up than we do.
  22. It's probably not the best time to be facing a side like Walsall. Injuries are killing us. I think we'd beat them with a full strength side. I'd happily take a draw right now. The wheel hasn't fallen off the wheelbarrow but it is wobbling. We need to get to January still in contention for promotion, that is going to be difficult.
  23. The subs changed the game. We were effectively down to 9 players given Brown was on the pitch at the end. He offers little or nothing. If possible his loan should be terminated immediately. There are far better options out there.
  24. I'd rest Jatta for this one. He's key to our promotion hopes. The goals have dried up and we can't afford to lose Jatta.
  25. The performance was decent enough. Chances were created but not taken. Newport didn't offer much going forward. A point at home is disappointing.
