Notts County v Colchester.
Colchester won't sit back I reckon. That will suit us just fine. We need to take our chances. A 1-0 lead going into the final 10 minutes could well end up 1-1. Jody and Ditzy are key but I reckon Mai will be the difference tonight.

Match Discussion: Game 32 - The Valiants (A)
Port Vale had a plan. You could see that the pitch was watered in areas to slow down Notts and disrupt the quick passing that works so well. We missed Jodi and David. They offer that extra bit of quality that is the difference between a narrow win and a narrow defeat. Port Vale outcoached us in the 2nd half. They adjusted at half time and we were too slow to react. The 2 games against them have been incredibly close but that extra bit of coaching quality has won them both games. Darren Moore is a better coach than SM. That's not a criticism of SM, he's doing a decent job, it just that Moore has that extra bit of experience.

Port Vale away on a Thursday night. I think that is a first. Port Vale away is one of the tougher games. A point would be a decent result but Notts are in top form so you'd be hoping for a cheeky 3 points.

Match Discussion: Game 31 - The Shrimps (H)
Morecambe is supposed to be a nice place to visit. Not in February though and the game is at ML. Anyway.......this should be a home win and a comfortable one at that but Morecambe will make it difficult I think. 2-0 is my guess.

Match Discussion: Game 30 - The Gills (A)
Gillingham away in January seems like a waste. Gillingham is a game that should be played in August or September. Anyway this is going to be a tough game. I'd be happy with a draw.

Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Blues (H)
Not the best performance but 3 points in the bag. We are in a good place right now. We need to hold onto AJ.

Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Blues (H)
Let's be honest, if you don't beat Carlisle at home, you don't deserve to be promoted. Shots fired 🤣 3-1 to Notts.
-
Match Discussion: Game 28 - The Ravens (H)
That game at Bromley in September was incredible. 2 down after 6 minutes and Notts end up winning 4-2. Bromley are doing well in their first season in League 2. A mid table finish is likely. You'd expect a home win and I think it will be a home win.

Match Discussion: Game 27 - The Owd Reds (A)
Notts were excellent. Accrington were awful but a lot of that was down to Notts not allowing them to settle. Accrington are relegation candidates and are one of those clubs that if they do get relegated, they won't be back for a while.
-
Match Discussion: Game 27 - The Owd Reds (A)
Accrington Stanley had a grand day out at Liverpool last week. I thought they played quite well. They certainly weren't overawed. They are unbeaten in their last 2 in the league. They are now 5 points clear of the relegation zone. It's been an interesting week at Notts. Time to park that now and get on with the push for promotion. This won't be an easy game but I think Notts will secure all 3 points and we can collectively say Dan who?

Match Discussion: Game 26 - The Mariners (A)
Grimsby are unpredictable and that makes them dangerous. They beat Port Vale 3-0 but then lost to Accrington and Bradford, conceding 3 goals in both games. They are the only side in the top 12 with a minus goal difference. They don't do draws. 1 draw in 25 games must be some sort of record. I think Notts will come away with all 3 points. There will be goals. 3-2 to Notts.

Notts V League 2's Top Teams
League One is a difficult league to compete in. There are big teams with big budgets but it is possible to be competitive and not break the bank. I think Notts would only need 3 or 4 additions to be a mid table side. I think the brothers have bigger ambitions so it would be a fun ride!

Will Jarvis signs
I think he got a league winners medal despite being recalled in August. He deserved one after being a big part of their success. He'll score goals in League Two.
-
Cedwyn Scott leaves Notts for Carlisle United
All the best to Cedwyn and thank you. Thank you for helping us out of the pit of despair and back to where we belong. That image of the ball hitting the net will stay with me forever. I'm smiling now.......

Match Discussion: Game 25 - The Robins (H)
A 90 minute performance and 3 points. Happy with that.
-
Match Discussion: Game 25 - The Robins (H)
Swindon are unbeaten in their last 4. They drew away at Wimbledon and Bromley. They have beaten Grimsby and Colchester. That's fairly impressive given the mess they were in before Ian Holloway came in. We should be beating Swindon at home. We need to stay within touching distance of 2nd place.
-
Match Discussion: Game 24 - The Saddlers (H)
I think Walsall won the league today. We should have buried them by half time. We didn't and you kind of knew what was going to happen in the 2nd half.
-
Match Discussion: Game 24 - The Saddlers (H)
Walsall are the most consistent side in the division. Their results speak for themselves. They don't get the respect they deserve and they are fine with that I think. They keep doing their thing. It has the makings of a classic. The 2 best sides in the division. Home advantage could swing it in our favour. A point would be acceptable.
-
Match Discussion: Game 23 - The Robins (A)
That was a proper game of festive football. Now we turn our attention to Walsall. Can't wait.....
-
Match Discussion: Game 22 - The Dons (A)
Great win. Not just the 3 points but a fantastic performance as well.
-
Match Discussion: Game 22 - The Dons (A)
This came around quickly. I think Christmas speeds up the older you get. Anyway this is one of the toughest away fixtures in the division. The Fake Dons are a blight on football and I hope we crush them. Not very Christmas like but I know Jesus understands ????
-
Match Discussion: Game 21 - The Bantams (H)
A badly needed 3 points. The next 2 are away before we face Walsall at home so we needed a win to take momentum into the Fake Dons game. 3 points is a nice Christmas present as well.
-
Match Discussion: Game 21 - The Bantams (H)
There isn't a better time to play us and now is about as good a time to play Bradford. Notts are bound to improve. I mean it can't get much worse. I think we'll bounce back tomorrow.
-
Match Discussion: Game 20 - The Ammies (A)
Where to start? There's no point in sacking SM. The owners want to play a certain way and that won't change under a new manager. The style of play favoured by the owners is not suitable in League Two unless you bring in players of a League One standard. That won't happen. We were shocking today. Rubbish. Hopefully the improvement starts now.
-
Match Discussion: Game 20 - The Ammies (A)
If Brown starts, it will be effectively be 11 vs 10. I think SM knows this so he won't start hopefully. Salford are hit and miss. They are nothing special but are capable of a decent performance. They are the very definition of mid table team. I think we will win this 1-0. A badly needed 3 points for sure.
