  1. The game turned not on the sending off but the subs made by SM. Crawley subs made a huge difference. Ours are nowhere near the quality required at this level.
  2. Robertson sent off. 2nd yellow. Harsh to say the least. Crawley player struck Sam. Booked. Could easily have been red. Sam has kept us in the game.
  3. Notts have started the 2nd half brilliantly. Crawley are struggling. The offside goal was offside based on the reaction of the players. No Notts player complained.
  4. Notts surrendered the initiative after the goal. Crawley hit the bar. Sam has made a couple of decent saves. Crawley are struggling to deal with the pace of Nott's attacks.
  5. Sam made a brilliant double save to keep it at 0-0. Notts have grown into the game. Goal was a throw in that fell to Crowley, he zipped it across the 6 yard box and Sam tapped in. We are winning away from home. This is not a drill ????
  6. I found my way to the stadium without the aid of Google Maps. I'm very proud of myself ???? Pitch is fine. The ball will zip off the surface. You can see it in the warm-ups.
  7. It's dry here now. Skies are grey though. Feels like it could lash rain at any time. The pitch looks good on the photo they posted on Twitter.
  8. I'm travelling over from Cork for this game. I'm looking forward to it. I've never been to Crawley. Crawley aren't scoring many goals but they are still winning thanks to a mean defence. They are 16th on the home table and we are 16th on the away table. Obviously they are in better form as we are currently 24th on the form table. I agree that we need to revert to the Newport formation and if it isn't working, throw Jatta on around the 60 minute mark and bomb Crawley with crosses. If SM needs advice, I'll be in the away section ????
  9. There was a saying about Irish Rugby in the 80s. When Plan A didn't work, they tried Plan A. Yesterday was a good example of that. Jatta is a Plan B. He gives Wimbledon something different to deal with. Instead we persist with what wasn't giving them too many headaches. We have the best striker in League 2. Surely the aim should be to feed him as often as possible? Maybe SM has a plan, but I don't see it. Maybe things will turn around, I hope they do or my blood pressure will keep on rising!
  10. Wimbledon had won 1 in 12 away from home. They strolled to victory at ML today. We are the worst side in the division at the moment and there are no signs of it getting any better. I have no idea what's going on, I can't see what SM is trying to achieve.
  11. I think this is a good time to play Wimbledon. They aren't scoring many goals. They failed to beat a poor Grimsby team in their last game at home. Their away isn't the best. They did beat us at their place but they aren't at that level in their recent games. I'm quietly confident that we'll be celebrating a much needed win.
  12. You can thank me later...... https://youtu.be/XWQMMPFtoG4?feature=shared
  13. I feel sorry for the fans who travelled to Bradford. It's probably a blessing in disguise. It gives SM time to sort out the mess we are in.
  14. According to the form table for the last 7 games, Notts are 23rd. Only Grimsby are worse off. Bradford haven't conceded a goal in their last 4 league games. They beat Wrexham away. Crushed the fake Dons 4-0 at home and beat Sutton at home. They are in a far better position than us. As bad as Tuesday was, I expect it to get even worse on Saturday. I can only foresee a heavy defeat. I hope I'm wrong.....
  15. It's not all Stuart Maynard's fault but I have yet see anything to convince me that he is the man to manage Notts County. It gives me no pleasure to say that. Thankfully we are 20 points clear of the drop because I don't see how we will pick up a single point between now and the end of the season.
  16. Sutton are last for a reason. They are a poor side. If we don't beat Sutton at home, it's going to be depressing and time to stay off social media for the rest of the week!
  17. Another defeat. They are starting to mount up now. On form, we are one of the poorest sides in the division. Thankfully we have enough points in the bag and we won't be relegated.
  18. 2 nil down and you can't really argue with that. It's not over yet but it's a long way back from here.
  19. We were robbed at their place. It was a surreal game. Referee off injured. Dodgy penalty to give them the 3 points. Very angry Notts fans. Not our finest moment. Crewe are consistent and will be difficult to beat. They'll play the same way they did at their place. It will be a tight game. We need a win!
  20. Granny Pie was one of us. It was incredibly sad when she passed away. She was proud of @Chris and her grandchildren. @super_ram I'm sure the many happy memories are a comfort to you.
  21. Robbed is probably the best description of today's events. Very harsh decision to rule out our goal. Notts were the better side. It was a weird day. Stockport hammered. Mansfield lost. As did Barrow.
  22. Wrexham are in a bit of a rut. They just about beat a very poor Sutton side in their last game. Bradford showed how to beat them at their place. Solid defending. Don't engage in their mind games and take your chance when it comes. They'll be well up for this game. It won't be boring.
  23. The change in tactics and personnel worked wonders. It's a badly needed 3 points. Hopefully we can build on this now. Back to Wales on Saturday and a real test against Hollywood FC.
  24. Newport's last league defeat was on December 23rd. They are in excellent form. They got to 2-2 against an almost full strength Man Utd in the FA Cup. Their style of play is perfectly suited to playing against us unfortunately. If they play well, I don't see us getting anything out of the game. We are not in a good place right now. We badly need a win.
  25. I'd happily settle for mid table if it meant SM and his system were fully bedded in for next season. We'll struggle to hit 50 points the way things are going. That may turn around later in the season. The last thing we need is more instability so SM is here for the foreseeable future so we should back him.
