That penalty decision was ludicrous. Thankfully justice was done and Notts cruised to victory. A badly needed 3 points. The performance was excellent. The crowd were loud. All in all, a great day all round.

Stockport's confidence is sky high at the moment. They have been playing well. That 8-0 win against Sutton could easily have been 10 or 11. Notts have lost their way. There's a game plan but the players don't seem to have any confidence in it. I'd imagine a home win will be the first entry on many betting slips this weekend and you can understand why.

It's hard not to think about relegation but I think we should be OK. Staying up is all I hoped for. Anything else is a bonus.

Every season, there's one team in League 2 that goes from promotion contender to fighting relegation. I hate to say it, but we fit that bill right now. I watched Tiernan Brooks live at Cork City. He didn't put a foot wrong. I think it's time to give him his chance. I don't think we'll regret it. We need at least one Centre Back. The attack is one of the best in the division. No worries there.

The defending was so bad that some people on Social Media thought the game was fixed ???? You can see how they think that but if they watched Notts every week, they'd know it's not unusual for Notts to defend so badly. Although last night was the worst so far I think.

Crawley are 6 points behind Notts with a game in hand. Like Notts, they are strong at home but weak on the road. They lost at Forest Green and Barrow in their last 2 away games. I think it will be a close game. Crawley will have learned from their FA Cup defeat. Notts really need to win or the wheels are in danger of coming off.

LW has gone from 25/1 to 2/1. Make of that what you will. LW would be a massive loss.

A bizarre end to the game. The referee pulls a hamstring and is replaced. His replacement gives Crewe a penalty for handball and they win 1-0. Notts were always going to go through a bad patch and the injuries aren't helping so no need to panic.

I think Notts will bring in 2 players to replace Matty Palmer. A loan and a free agent. It will take a free agent some time to get match fit and used to the system. A loan player can fill that gap until then.

I was at the Derry City game the Friday before. Tiernan did very well. He could do nothing about the goal. It was a world class strike. He hadn't much to do against Shamrock Rovers. They had won the league the previous week and fielded a second string side. Cork City are in the relegation final next Friday night. Lose and they are relegated. Tiernan will definitely start in goal.

This was always going to be one of the tougher games in this division. Notts played very well on Tuesday. Wrexham showed grit and determination in their win. They may not be in full flow but they are a quality side. I think it will be a fierce battle. I just hope Notts have learned some lessons from the Mansfield game.

Injuries and suspensions mean Notts won't be able to field their strongest side. Newport have drawn 7 of their 14 league games. They do concede goals. 5 in their last 2 games. You'd fancy Notts to take advantage and chalk up another home win.

The first half took 52 minutes. You read that right. Notts deserve their lead.

Another difficult game. Both teams lost 4-1 last weekend. Hopefully John Bostock is fit. We look vulnerable without him. A draw would be a decent result. We need to steady the ship.

Swindon are a strong side. They score for fun. They are the top scorers in the division. They have conceded 14 in 9. They are unbeaten in the league. I think it will be a high scoring game and Swindon will go home with all 3 points. I hope I'm wrong.....
