  1. Jatta is the difference at this level. 5th heading into 2 Cup games is more than acceptable.
  2. We score more than Cambridge do. They are poor away from home. I think we'll win.
  3. You can't leave an in form Drinan all alone in front of goal. Bad things happen if you do......
  4. RM was on the Tube after the game. He's still living in Swansea. Seems like an affable bloke. His return is most welcome.
  5. Smash and grab sums it up. The referee was awful. That is all.
  6. Barnet have dominated the game. Roos made an unbelievable save to keep us in it. Barnet have bombarded us with crosses. Notts have done well against them. A much improved performance is needed.
  7. I'm travelling over for this game. I've been to the Hive before. It's a nice ground. I think Barnet have surprised a few people. They haven't changed their philosophy since their promotion to League 2 and they are reaping the benefits now. It's a game between 2 teams who play football. Notts need to keep the ball and that will disrupt Barnet. We need to pressure them high up the pitch. If we do, we will create turnovers in dangerous areas of the pitch. If we score first, I think we'll win.
  8. There's a chance this one may be on the TV. A cup run would be nice. A trip to Crystal Palace in the 4th round. Yes please.....
  9. Oldham have picked up some decent results on their travels. They don't score many goals but don't concede many either. It's great to see Oldham back in League Two. The last time we played them was in 2019. The last time we beat them was 2013. I suspect this might be a more difficult game than people expect. I'd be happy with a 1-0 win. Notts need to go a run of games unbeaten. Consistency is key in League 2.
  10. We last played Barnsley in 2018. They beat us 4-0 in the FA Cup. Barnsley might feel they could do well in this trophy so they could field a strong lineup. We have zero chance so plenty of changes are fine.
  11. Let's just say this was an opportunity missed. More shots, more possession and yet still end up losing the game.
  12. It's a good time to play Crewe. They haven't won a league game since August. Bizarrely they beat Chesterfield 7-1 in the Football League Trophy earlier this month. They were poor against Barnet in their last game. We need to start picking up points on the road. Given the circumstances, it would be disappointing to not get something out of this game.
  13. 3 points. Nice boost to the goal difference. Job done. Crawley will do well to avoid relegation.
  14. It's a sad day after we lost one of our own yesterday. In an ideal world, Kim would have been at Gillingham supporting the club. The reality is that Kim was taken way too young. The applause today lifted the cloud of gloom. RIP Kim. Gillingham deserved their win. They were the better side. The injuries are a real worry. Hopefully Gordon and Dennis won't be out for too long but I suspect Gordon's injury is serious. We won't meet a better team this season IMO.
  15. Gillingham are the only unbeaten team in League 2. They will lose at some stage and I reckon a betting man may well put a sneaky wager on Notts County to win this weekend. Personally I would go with an unchanged line up. We are going to have periods of the game where they will press us hard and if we can keep them out, we'll be fine. They know they are going up against Jatta and an in form Dennis. They'll be worried about us.
