  1. I believe something’s occurred today, though I’ve no concrete evidence. Notts appears rather laid-back on the media side. Typically, when the social media is chilled, it implies the team is occupied with something. I’m curious if the club is nearing the announcement of the next manager?
  2. I agree. If the team is fit, it would be sensible for Luke Williams to maintain the status quo without alterations. This could potentially ignite some stability and make Notts feel more at ease on the field. I must mention, I always feel much more assured when we play at Meadow Lane as our performance there has been superior compared to away games.
  3. Please sign me up if I’m not already on the list.
  4. It’s challenging, but here are my nominations. Newpie: @Sir Magpie, @Benji and @Morten Johansen Member: @Piethagoram, @menzinho, @KingWilliams and @Fan of Big Tone Team: @DangerousSausage, @Chris, @Burnz3r0 and @TheSkipper
  5. Neil Warnock is unique, his antics could easily be a comedy sketch for a late-night show. I believe he’ll return to management at some point, I can’t imagine him fully retiring.
  6. It’s important to remember, Christmas can quickly become a time of stress and worry, when it should simply be a time to spend with family and loved ones.
  7. Blackburn Rovers 2-2 Watford Plymouth Argyle 1-0 Birmingham City Carlisle United 0-1 Cheltenham Town Wycombe Wanderers 2-1 Port Vale Accrington Stanley 1-3 Walsall Joker Grimsby Town 2-0 Harrogate Town Halifax Town 0-0 Rochdale Oldham Athletic 1-0 Gateshead
  8. Hello, @Robbie__64. Welcome to the PON community. I am pleased to see another new member getting stuck straight in.
  9. Hello, @StanfordPie. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham! Glad you have joined.
  10. It’s encouraging to see Luke Williams’ insights. His approach demonstrates his professionalism, and we’re fortunate to have him as our manager. It’s clear that Notts and his methods complement each other. I just hope our form improves, or at least our performances do.
  11. I’m glad that Macaulay Langstaff doesn’t burden himself with targets or overcomplicate things. His sensible attitude shows he’s adjusting well to life in League Two. It was never a doubt, just a matter of time. When you’re dedicated to learning, the process becomes enjoyable and can greatly improve your skills. Well done, Macca!
  12. I appreciate Lewis Macari’s mindset. The fact that he left Stoke City for more playing time says a lot. Once we sort out our defensive issues, I believe he will play a crucial role in advancing the club. He has many years to improve, and his remarks about Luke Williams are telling.
  13. If Notts can somehow score first, that would be a good thing. Usually, that alone boosts our players’ confidence. I don’t have high hopes for the game, I think it’s hard to believe we will win. At the same time, I hope they don’t find it easy to break us down because that would be an extra setback that will make it harder to recover from. The team just needs to work hard and try to get through the game as best as they can.
  14. Miracle on 34th Street, originally released on June 4, 1947, is my favourite Christmas film. It’s a classic that’s often overlooked, but it’s a very good film
  15. I have no words about Steve Cooper being fired. Fans of Forest should be upset with their club’s choice, but they probably won’t be.
  16. Luke is facing a challenging situation. If the players don’t heed his advice during matches and he reacts this way in interviews, it could lead to speculation that he’s lost control of the dressing room, which I don’t believe is true. Football can change rapidly, and for us, Notts are in the worst phase that Williams has had to deal with during his tenure. Instead of calling for his dismissal or making excuses for the decline, let’s support him and hope we can do enough to prevent this from completely derailing our season.
  17. If we visit Harrogate without making the necessary defensive enhancements, we might be in for a tough match. I concur that the midfield can make a significant difference, but we need to function more cohesively as a team.
  18. Well, if the cap doesn’t start bringing luck, you might need to find some holy water, perhaps a six-leaf clover, or place a rabbit’s foot under it. Something has to work eventually.
  19. Harrogate will provide Notts with a chance to demonstrate the improvements we need. There’s no reason why we can’t slow down and focus on building a solid defence in the game. Sometimes we rush, and at other times, a lack of creativity results in the ball being sent back. We need to avoid this as much as possible, as it would boost our confidence moving forward if we can create goal-scoring opportunities.
  20. Hello, welcome to PON @Darryl Chapman. A few posts and comments here, some there and you will be well away within the community.

  22. Hull City 1-0 Cardiff City Swansea City 1-2 Middlesbrough Barnsley 2-0 Charlton Athletic Port Vale 1-0 Wigan Athletic Doncaster Rovers 1-1 Morecambe Newport County 1-2 Grimsby Town Joker Dagenham & Redbridge 3-1 Wealdstone Dorking Wanderers 0-1 Woking
  23. Not only separated at birth, but all three are excellent managers in their own right! Remarkable.
  24. Yeah, it’s a bit ridiculous that the penalty doesn’t accurately reflect a fair punishment for all the rules the club violated. I do wonder how they managed to make so many errors, it’s astonishing.
  25. This is truly distressing news. It must have been dreadful to be at the match or even nearby when it all happened.
