Supporters want a midfielder with strong leadership and a bit of bite, someone not afraid to put in a proper tackle and show authority. Some people are quick to point out that he’s injury prone and joined us while still carrying a knock.

But the club clearly sees something in Ollie Norburn. They signed him knowing the risk because they believe he suits what we’re looking for.

Realistically, we’re only going to get players like this, either those with less experience or older heads like Michael Doyle. Let’s give him a chance and hope he proves himself.

  2. Delighted to hear about Rod McDonald joining our ranks at Notts County. His vast EFL experience and versatility will certainly bolster our defence. It’s evident from his past stints at clubs like Northampton, Coventry, and Crewe that he brings not just skill but also a winning mentality. It’ll be interesting to see how Coach utilises his ability both defensively and in building play from the back. Our backline will surely benefit from his leadership and on-pitch guidance. Plus, having someone who’s been through the grind and achieved promotions is always a positive influence on the squad. Looking forward to what he can bring to the table this season!

  3. What a terrific development for Notts County and Meadow Lane! The fact that we’re now boasting a hybrid SIS pitch, like those used in the Premier League, is a massive step forward. The comprehensive pitch reconstruction was desperately needed, particularly to tackle the issues with drainage that Matt Hallam highlighted. It’s a relief to know that the new state-of-the-art drainage system will virtually eliminate the threat of waterlogging. Also, the future-proofing with undersoil heating is wise, even if it’s not connected yet. This project was clearly a colossal effort and is a reflection of the club’s ambition and commitment to progress. I’m eagerly anticipating the first match on the new pitch!

  4. Junior Morias's recent comments provides an illuminating insight into his perspective on competition and team dynamics at Notts County. His viewpoint is an inspiring paradigm of sportsmanship and team unity, underscoring the importance of positivity, mutual encouragement, and loyalty to the gaffer's decision-making. His anticipation and excitement for the FA Cup vividly mirror his earnest passion for football.
