I’m convinced that later in life, I won’t be able to afford to retire. So, by all means, please enjoy yours because it’s well-earned. With all this mayhem going on in the world, it’s best that you can enjoy retirement.

Don’t rub retirement in our faces. Work is exhausting, and it leaves me with little to talk about. I can’t wait for college to start again. ????

I’ve been meaning to do these more often. I wasn’t too concerned about the lack of interest or comments. For me, it’s something to build on.

I think 10th is a realistic target, but I suspect many of their fans, just like ours, will be hoping for the play-offs. There’s always one team that starts strong at the beginning of the season, and this will be one of the most important games on the opening day. Two historic clubs, both big League Two teams. It should be a good game for sure.

I’m not overly concerned, but I do believe we need to concentrate more on our first team in the match against Peterborough. From what I’ve heard, the game could have ended in a draw, which might have been a fairer outcome. However, we shouldn’t place too much importance on friendly matches. It’s worth noting that some supporters are already criticising Stuart Maynard again, hinting that he might be the first manager to lose his job this season.

It might be a bit harsh to suggest that relying on the NHS is a gamble, but I don’t wish to quibble over details. I’d simply like to highlight that the unfortunate deaths of previous players have led football to take seriously the potential risk of heart defects or conditions from playing. This focus is indeed beneficial, especially as it’s becoming increasingly common to witness players collapsing during matches, which is truly distressing to see. As someone who doesn’t play football, I’m unsure how doctors or the NHS would detect a potential heart condition in me without any symptoms or prior incidents. Perhaps in the future, routine check-ups will be implemented, but I understand that it’s a complex issue. I’m not aware of the costs involved, but we should certainly be grateful for the presence of the NHS.

Since taking over, the Reedtz brothers have done a remarkable job. The club is gradually becoming more appealing to football enthusiasts and the people of Nottingham, drawing in new fans and expanding the supporter base. Their primary aim is to increase Notts’ off-pitch profits while enhancing its on-pitch attractiveness.

A strong performance and a favourable outcome would certainly be pleasing. However, I recognise that the primary focus of the pre-season is on improving fitness. A victory over Boston might not hold much significance, but it could alleviate some concerns about our readiness or perceived underperformance. It’s not really feasible to assess form until the season commences, and even then, patience is required.

I am not sure if any of it is connected, but if it is, then £750,000 won't cover those projects. It's possible, but the fee Millwall paid might be higher and just reported incorrectly. Unfortunately, selling players will fund things, but I hope Macaulay Langstaff's departure means we can bring in players that show we are serious about pushing for promotion.

We have to hope this move works out and that he can deliver some good performances for us. Fingers crossed he stays injury-free, but if we keep adding depth, the squad should manage if injuries occur.

We need to stop making signings like this because it's just a waste. I don't blame Junior Morias; he probably wants to play more, which is why he's gone on loan. I know some people here didn't believe in him, but I always felt he tried and deserved more game time. Most of his chances came in our weaker squad, which barely had any of the players we consider starters. It just seems unfair, but I wish him success at Dagenham and Redbridge.

It’s not a signing that stands out, but with support, we might benefit from his best performances. I just hope he doesn’t become one of those signings that hardly ever plays.

It would be good to give Ryley Reynolds more game time. I've been hearing lots of positive things about his performances. For the rest of the team, use the best players and then bring on a weaker team in the second half. I'm still hoping we sign a striker, but it seems some of the trialists, like Alex Kirk, might no longer be with us. It will be interesting to see which trialists are there and who plays.

For me, the ideal squad size would be 25-26 experienced players, with the remainder being young players. There will be ample opportunities for the younger squad members to gain experience in cup games. I believe we need to prioritise featuring them in the EFL trophy. The recent departures have given us some flexibility, and I hope we continue to strengthen our squad. By January, we should be well-positioned to further bolster our team and use some of the transfer fee from Macaulay Langstaff to propel us further if we are in a good position. Whether we are close to the playoffs, in them, or even higher - yes, let’s use the January window to become stronger.

Either Notts is correct in believing that most of the released players lack the potential to improve or reach a good enough level, or it’s more likely that it would take too long for them to reach the desired level. I don’t foresee much change until we start giving young players more playing time. Two seasons isn’t sufficient to determine if they will reach the required level. Most players are average until they reach 20-21. There are always exceptions of prodigies at any level who somehow make it into the first team, but I think if Notts had such a talent, they would likely be sold before making a debut.

Having Notts-themed soft drinks at the club facilities would be quite cool. If the club could negotiate a deal to sell rebranded cans from a company like the one mentioned above, it would be really cool. Not just Cola, but Orange and other popular flavours as well. Going it alone or with a more mainstream company would be a no-go. However, this idea could potentially yield better profits.

Ryley Reynolds looks impressive, but I do hope James Sanderson is still in contention for game time. There’s no point in pushing young players into the first-team squad environment if someone else takes priority each season. It’s exciting to see young talent, but it’s disappointing when we don’t properly nurture them. Reynolds and Sanderson could be two future stars for us if we did.

No, I doubt it would be the same. I would prefer to give Stuart Maynard the season rather than see a former manager return, especially Luke Williams. While I hope we never cross paths with Ian Burchnall again, because his departure for FGR was disappointing. I understood Williams’ decision to leave. However, we have moved on and rehiring him would be a step backwards. Williams never showed any signs of addressing our defensive shortcomings and I will always be grateful for his efforts in helping us return to the Football League and establish ourselves as a League Two team, but I don’t want him back.

I don’t really mind if the rest of the squad is made up of free signings, as long as they’re good and have the potential to grow. It might be harder to spot this type of talent, but I think squandering Macaulay Langstaff’s transfer fee is a possibility when we have more money in the coffers. I would rather save it to strengthen the team in January, as that is the time when everyone is looking to improve and opportunities will naturally arise.

It’s a tough friendly. Forest is a huge challenge due to the amount of money and talent they have invested since gaining promotion to the Premier League. Millwall is fortunate to be a Championship team, as they’re more of a lower-half upper League One team. Their defence will be a bigger issue than seeing Macaulay Langstaff score.

It’s a heartening tale, demonstrating how one can find positivity even in challenging times. I extend my best wishes to Wendy. Ian appears to be a wonderful father, and Wendy can be grateful for her caring husband and the lovely daughter they’ve raised together. Living with a brain tumour, particularly one that can’t be fully treated, is unimaginable. It’s a dreadful situation, but the family’s unity provides a glimmer of hope.

This is likely one of the most disappointing signings in recent memory, as he seemed to be a high-quality player when he arrived. Whatever the reason for his lacklustre performances, it didn’t pan out. I personally believe Will Randall probably wanted to play consistently, but joining our squad, he was unlikely to achieve that without putting in the effort. He paid too much attention to the praise given before the signing, rather than seizing the opportunities presented to him. It’s more of a letdown on his part, as we offered him a chance to step up, and he didn’t seize it.
