  1. Kairo Mitchell could have worked out, but he didn’t. I don’t see what Rochdale sees in him, but as a free agent they might be inclined to gamble.
  2. I watch every game I can. I like watching England and seeing how the team gets on. I wish they would find it more routine to play well against the bigger teams. If they applied themselves, I think we could win the Euros when it’s time.
  3. Jim O’Brien is a great addition to the squad. Having him around the younger players and the rest of the squad with his sense of humour and care helps bring in positive thinking.
  4. Hello, welcome to PON. @rhodship66
  5. I am new to Twitter, but you can follow me at @20JOSHUSA04. I have already followed about 9 people from PON.
  6. I read like 5-8 posts per visit. Sometimes I go back and re-read what others have posted since. I have been trying to keep an eye on if any of the members need help and commenting on a few more posts. I read the articles and have been interacting with them. I wouldn’t say I’m stuck in a routine as I change all the time.
  7. It’s been said around PON by others, but Jim is a captain without the armband. He’s such a vital part of what makes this squad tick. I also agree with Allardyce’s tash. Some fans of football now will discard a loyal player just because they want someone new or exciting in the team. I can only think of one game where Jim wasn’t his usual self, so I think it’s extremely harsh. I would go as far as saying he would make my Notts XI of the last 10 years. He’s influential and such a good person. His ability is there and I agree with the thoughts expressed in the feature.
  8. I haven’t noticed any mention of this and I watch a lot of football YouTube channels; I am really surprised. The video is very good; I’ve given his channel a sub. It’s great to know that some clubs in the European leagues are throwing cash to gain promotion.
  9. Super has always been very kind and supportive; I joined here very young and through our interactions, I also look forward to seeing what he says. I felt the same about Granny but don’t want to bring too much of that up. I would like @super_ram to know I value his kindness and consider him to be a friend even though we haven’t met. Maybe one time at Notts? I hope so. Thanks for being Super, Super Ram!
  10. Yes, I can’t say how pleased I am. I felt confident that Kyle Cameron would sign. Those rumours never seemed genuine as they seemed to be aimed at rivals of Notts such as Wrexham or Stockport etc. All the out-of-contract players being linked to them just reaffirmed to me that I can’t believe what they write. Kyle is a very good player; so pleased he’s renewed his stay.
  11. Would you agree with this?
  12. League Two has to be the focus, rather than getting caught in the step ahead. If by Christmas Notts are still up there, then it is the time to start planning. I would like to see us be competitive in whatever league we are in and before promotion, I hope that this is the minimum expectation. So when we do finally get to League One, we understand the importance of finishing above mid-table. Finishing as high as possible will need to be the target. If in the future we manage to chase for a title like we did during this last season, it’s further evidence that the foundations and direction are right.
  13. The news of Jim’s extension was brilliant. To get it sorted and to know he will be a part of our League Two return makes me so happy. He was one of the few players who felt what the fans did when we lost to Swindon. He stuck with us, despite the fact others would have been interested.
  14. We won’t know what the CEO is really like, but I hope they are good with PR and can write supportive updates to get the fans onside. Jason Turner was very good with his communication; it felt personal and directed at you.
  15. I don’t know this player, but he could be good. I doubt Notts will chase players that aren’t, so we just need to wait. They will soon start arriving. The fact that the club is taking time to bring in players so far makes me feel like we are trying to buy some of the signings we need.
  16. Jodi Jones’ free kick to set England back? We’re all wishing him well as he prepares to help Malta. It’s going to be a tough match, but I am invested in seeing how he does against some of England’s best players.
  17. These articles focusing on the fans are fabulous; this one and the one about Tony were brilliant. Tony would make a good member of PON if he came on board. Judging by his comments, he would fit in well.
  18. It’s good to read about his self-confidence in his ability. I think he’s a superb footballer and his experience is very handy to have in our squad. I hope he thrives this upcoming season and proves to those doubters that he still has it.
  19. I am impressed with David McGoldrick’s loyalty to the club. It is clear that he has joined us for the right reasons. Choosing happiness over money shows that he has a good character. Despite losing Ruben, it is an exciting time and I am pleased that he has joined us.
  20. I am delighted that Jim has stuck with us and given the club one more year. He has the experience to help influence the players and he still has the ability.
  21. Jodi Jones looks class for Malta. He plays sort of like Ronaldo did for Portugal when he was younger - with freedom and able to move into the play in order to help create it.
  22. Dean Leacock was at the club when I was much younger. He always had shiny hair as if he used too much hair product. I thought he was fine for League One, just not promotion quality.
  23. It’s terrible news. I hate when things like this happen because you are always second-guessing yourself as to if it could happen again. I feel sorry for the families affected too, it’s just horrible. I can’t help but find myself feeling down about such a thing happening in Nottingham of all places.
  24. Oxford United isn’t the most exciting team for him to join. Will he make a big impact there? I think so, but they don’t have the quality to mount a serious Championship push in my eyes and I think he will need time to adapt to seeing better players playing against him.
  25. I wish Ruben all the best. I have some great memories of him playing for Notts and I stand behind my thoughts in the discussion.
