  1. @Wilfordpie "but I am puzzled as to why Sam Slocombe remains our second choice, despite his obvious flaws and injury issues." @Chris "Stone is a better option over Sam Slocombe. " 100% agree. Slocombe cost us the cup tie at Shrewsbury by coming and missing collecting the cross. He missed a cross the other night at Burton. Although I wasn't present, 2 gaffs pre season at Peterborough too. @TheSkipper "It makes you think that Tom Weal paid the price for Stone failing." I also believe like you @TheSkipper that this may have been the case.
  2. This is a good summary done by the BBC: Man City 115 charges hearing Q&A: What is latest on PSR & FFP case? WWW.BBC.CO.UK Manchester City's hearing into 115 Premier League charges should be heard this season - BBC Sport looks at the latest on the case.
  3. I thoroughly disagree. Pep for me. Just look at the managerial failures of Jose in recent years. Don't forget Mourinho at Chelsea, he discarded "talent" like Mo Salah and Kevin De Bruyne.
  4. @Wheelbarrow repair man : "The Anglo/Scottish Cup. I'm not sure this was a Competition, it's just I seem to remember Derby being involved in it in the 1970's." Notts were beaten by Chesterfield in the final, how can you not remember that????? 1980–81 Anglo-Scottish Cup - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG In terms of when Notts were in administration, there was a legal duty on the Administrator to sell ANY asset the club has. That includes historical memorabilia.
  5. @Wheelbarrow repair man Really disagree on this: "It was after his stint at Sunderland Sam Allardyce became the England Manager, but was forced to Resign after 67 days in Charge after the Daily Telegraph Sting, which was a Disgrace, because I think Big Sam would have been a Good National Side Manager. " If this were true, why hasn't Big Sam been given an opportunity elsewhere managing a national side? Football has moved on, Big Sam leaving England was perhaps the best thing that has happened to our national side, in that we have progressed to a footballing head coach style. Possession is everything!
  6. Sorry to disagree @Wheelbarrow repair man "however before Williams made the move to Swansea, the Cracks at Notts were beginning to show as teams had worked out how to Deal with the Magpies style of play and we all Know what Happened then. " I believe this was more to do with the defenders being no where near the standard needed rather than the "style of play".

  15. I hate to be a killjoy but matches like this, do highlight the big difference for our youngsters to be "1st team ready". However, I though Reynolds was quite good, his tenacity to win the ball. Loved the build up to our first goal
