  1. Good to have some discussion with @DonnyNotts. The notion of a "united Europe" is only really put out by the Alt-Right influencers. People have trouble naming a single EU law / directive that they disagree with, in 40+ years of being in the EU. "overpopulated little island"... external immigration into the UK from outside the EU has gone completely unchecked for years. Boris, is now offering UK sanctuary for 3 million HK nationals, where are they going to settle in the UK... driving up house prices even further. A proposal of a trade deal with India, sounds good but the Indian government will want visa free travel arrangements in return. How high is the population of India!!!! Everything is a trade off. I don't accept the EU referendum result as people didn't understand what they were voting for...and it has made all of our lives poorer, economically and culturally
  2. @DonnyNotts "Very easy to blame brexit".. well, if you are referring to the previous post of "Happy Toast" then the causes shown, are a consequence of Brexit. The EU was more of setting the frameworks, of which the UK had some major inputs. "Health services, Benefit systems" still remained the preserve of each individual countries own governments. What we are seeing now, is the UK being harmed by being outside of both the Single Market and the Customs Union. UK has assumed 3rd Country status and for what benefit? So far, there have been zero real tangible benefits of Brexit.
  3. respectful words and analysis
  4. Thinking outside the box, if the EU past a directive to say all sporting organisations whose competitions are held in EU countries, need FULL transparency of their financial accounts ( and history thereof). Would UEFA and FIFA then comply? I would doubt it. A new global football organisation could be set up, fully transparent, maybe set in Brussels or London. Football relies on advertising revenues and am sure the big conglomerates would be willing to ditch FIFA and UEFA for more transparency?

  8. What impressed me, we saw out injury time by keeping possession for long periods. We actually looked liked we know who to close games out now!!! Well done to all, a real team effort
