  1. I might be one of the few hoping things fall into place so we can really put Salford to the sword. I’d love to see Matthew Dennis score twice, and for Jodi Jones, Barry Cotter and the others to get their names on the scoresheet. It probably won’t be that simple, but a strong win would lift spirits and maybe spark a few wild hopes. It’s been a long time since we properly thrashed a team.

A 3-0 win or better would be the stuff of dreams.

  2. It’s not really my style, but it does look good on Platt and Bedeau. I reckon lots of fans will like it. I’m not really into wearing shirts unless they’re the classic black and white. That’s more my thing.

These days, I tend to wear the older shirts. Even if I get one from the new season, I don’t always wear it straight away. The club hasn’t made any bad shirts to be fair. They’re just not always what I go for.

  3. I can see him being more of a head coach than an actual manager, and I think he would be fantastic at it. He knows what it takes to make players perform together. His hands-on approach in training should earn the respect of players. He’s knowledgeable and had a great understanding of how teams played.

Certainly, I feel he could have adapted to be a very good head coach in modern football. To what extent? I am not sure, but I think there’s no denying the qualities that Jimmy Sirrel had.

  4. he Notts vs Gillingham match could end in a draw, given Gillingham’s strong defence and high expectations for this game. I can see why some Notts fans expect a challenging match; Gillingham is a formidable opponent. However, Notts has shown impressive form and attacking prowess, which could lead to a high-scoring game. The uncertainty around Gillingham’s injuries and the potential for unnecessary mistakes at the back by Notts could balance the game, making a draw a likely outcome.

  5. I think the media team sometimes has too much time on their hands. A good tease is fine, but the Oasis song and the idea of them reuniting is a bit much to tie in with Jodi Jones extending his stay. They have gone a bit over the top since breaking the cryptic video.

It might be a sign of my age, but I think some of the ideas could be saved for another day to keep the excitement there for days, rather than minutes.

I am pleased Jodi Jones has agreed to a new deal. I will be buying some more shirts when they come in for other family members. I will be getting Jodi Jones on the back of them, not for me, but for younger supporters.

  6. I have posted this in the GP General Discussion forum, but it might be Notts related. It all depends on you. I would like to encourage members to tell a tale about meeting someone of important significance that might be interesting to other members of the site.

It could be any type of experience, but importantly of interest. Maybe a quirky thing?

Perhaps even a supernatural experience? Or, something else. I am thinking outside of the box. I think this could be interesting if members are willing to try.

  7. It’s a big match for both clubs, the winner will gain crucial points and would it mean there would be pressure on both which sees the match fizzle out to end as a draw? I reckon Notts should be in a better position going into the match but if they start slowly, it could be a different match altogether. I just want to see an entertaining match between two good teams.

  8. It’s encouraging to hear that Kyle Cameron is available for selection. I hope he returns with the determination to lead the defence as we know he’s capable of. A strong partnership could form between him and Aden Baldwin if they communicate effectively and make sound decisions under pressure.

  9. If the land is designated solely for sports use, then housing developers might not be interested in purchasing Meadow Lane unless the Council makes a notable reversal. I suspect that most of the land would be challenging to build on due to the high risk of flooding. While I’m not opposed to the idea of owning the land, I believe it will become a necessity once we regain our status as a Championship team.

  10. Crawley might be a tough opponent. I don’t expect them to start poorly, and I think the real action will happen in the second half. The first 45 minutes might be a bit dull, with the excitement picking up after the break. That’s just how football is sometimes, but a victory would be a nice change after Saturday’s loss.

  11. I think Notts will be under a lot of pressure, so I can understand more about how Luke Williams is handling things. In my opinion, AFC Wimbledon would be happy with a draw. I anticipate a tough match and I just hope that whoever starts performs well because we’re at the point where wins and draws are most important.

  12. The match wasn’t vastly different from the encounter with Grimsby, albeit with the roles reversed and arguably against a superior Forest Green side. Every now and then, a game like this comes along, and it seems we fans have become quite accustomed to it. In previous seasons, such a game might have led to complaints, but not in this campaign. I believe that seeing the score levelled at 2-2 spurred Notts to up their game. Had Forest Green been slower to equalise, we might have settled for a draw, but fortunately, there was ample time for us to regain control. Had the equaliser come later in the match, they might have even emerged victorious, as we seemed quite hapless for a while.

  13. Please, whatever happens, just express your pride in seeing Notts doing so well and encourage our form to continue in a way that we might enjoy further celebrations of going top. Notts having this success is vital for the club to move forward, no matter how difficult MK Dons are. If their fans are right, they’re lucky to be 2nd. I hope we can show them why we went above them.
